Southampton North

When you book with Primer Inn you know there is always a minimum standard that you will find. No surprises: clean rooms, hot water in the shower, beds big enough for 2 people, breakfast service (optional), a pub/beefeater nearby... Unless you have the budget for a big and posh 5* hotel, just a good option to safe yourself some headaches

Sadly we had fleas in our room and on the beds. We couldnt understand this as it is supposed to be a pet free hotel so why were their fleas? We caught and killed two after being bitten by them, and a third one we couldn't catch. This was within a 5 minute period. We could also see a couple bouncing around in the carpet when we shone our torches down to look under the beds. Reception informed us that the hotel was fully booked meaning we couldn't be moved. It was also late so no way we could change hotels. We woke up the next morning absolutely covered in red scabs/bites all over our legs, arms and faces (happy to provide photos to head office). The rooms were also boiling. The room was 22.5'C when we checked in, we set the "heat" to 7.5'C and it still continued to rise throughout the night. Even with the window as open as it would go. Not a pleasant stay sadly. Thankfully it was only 1 night and we checked out at 8:30am to go and board our cruise. Only plus side was it was free parking and the hotel was quite.

Stayed here as it was very convenient for cruise leaving the following day. Room was very quiet with plenty of space and all necessary sanitary requirements. We booked the food package and ate in the on site pub. The food and service for both dinner and breakfast were excellent and my wife had the best steak she had Eaton for a while. On site parking allowed us to stay on site till we left for the Ocean Terminal.

Very convenient location for over night pre-cruise and excellent facilities. Staffed by experienced friendly people

Stayed at many premier Inns previously so do know the accommodation is pretty basic but this hotels room quality was poor. Paint was peeling from the bin, there was polyfilla all on the skirting board & paint on the bottom of the door. Towels provided for single occupancy when two people staying and were very thin and grey. Air conditioning didn’t work properly kept revering back to a higher temperature even if you readjusted. Car park was full of commercial vans taking 2 car park spaces after 6pm. Expensive room at avg £94per night for the quality received . Just didn’t feel very clean.

Great location for a short ride to Southampton docks with plenty of free parking. nothing apart from the hotel locally. Lovely clean & comfortable room, no lifts available. Excellent breakfast & evening meal.

Stayed here on work with a colleague, Great Nights stay and convenient due to how close it is to the motorway. Unfortunately the restaurant was shut but the team at the Premier Inn were very helpful, listing all places close by and providing plates and cutlery due to the unexpected closure. Couldn't fault the team one bit.

Great service from all the team throughout my stay this past weekend, Was down visiting friends and the team couldn't be more helpful. Big shout out to Connor and Morgan who were on the evening throughout my stay. Absolutely fantastic. Would highly recommend and will be back in the future.

Stayed at this hotel over the weekend.....and have o say it was very clean and very comfy....staff at the hotel very friendly and very helpful..couldn't in fact fault the hotel itself in anyway.....HOWEVER as a family we do like to eat/drink at the restaurants on site which are normally very good value for money with great staff....the one at southhampton north is far and i mean FAR away from anything like that....the place stinks of dirty fat,,didnt look at all clean...but we did decide to 'BRAVE IT" only to be told the place was closed,,,,9pm sunday evening,,,,after a long journey, not what we wanted to hear...so if your looking for somewhere to stay that can accommodate eating and drinking this is NOT the place to go.....in my humble opinon this resturanut and its staff are giving Prem Inn a very bad reputation,,,,someone needs to sort out the staff there that seem to run the place to suit themsleves,,,certainly not the customers and or the hotel guests....we always use prem inn as are go to hotel,,,,but will never use this one again.......shame on the people that run that beefeater....
