2-Star Hotels in Nuremberg

Location very comfortable, face to the metro, well-cared and friendly staff and with excellent English. I suggest a few improvements, since the client is also business. The hostel was probably full during my stay, so the bathrooms were not clean as I would expect them, and two only toilets for men on the floor seem to me few, because I had to stay in the coat. I would like to have a more choice for breakfast, especially for the sweet but also for the salt.

It is really HOT and STUFFY in the room. I’ve been many hostels w/o air-conditioner, it was not bad. But this hostel was totally different. The whole building was very incredibly stuffy and hot. And there was no lockers in the room. The only two good things in the hostel was the location and the fact that they provide hair dryer. It was funny that there is an air-conditioner in the reception floor. They know that the building is excessively hot. I strongly recommend if you have a little more money, then go to other hostels(with AC).

The B&B HOTEL Nürnberg-Hbf was a great choice for my stay in Nuremberg. Its prime location right next to the main train station made it incredibly convenient for arriving and departing, as well as exploring the city. With numerous tourist attractions within easy walking distance, I was able to effortlessly immerse myself in Nuremberg's rich history and culture. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable. While I didn't have the opportunity to experience breakfast and the hotel's amenities, its unbeatable location alone made it a standout choice.

I’ll start with the positives of this hotel: we were really happy with the location! Access to the tram literally right outside the front door was perfect. We also found it was in walking distance to the Christmas Markets, an Aldi and a coffee shop! Some short comings for us were the self checkin for after hours, in theory this would be excellent…BUT the touch screen was horrendous, after our flight being delayed we did not arrive until about 3am instead of 11pm so we were already tired and then having to spend at least 20 minutes trying to type in our reservation info was extremely aggravating. The keyboard kept disappearing and then reappearing, adding/erasing letters on its own… again great in theory but the execution was just not there. The room appeared to be clean however for the few days we were there we noticed a strange smell from the shower portion of the bathroom and it just didn’t seem to be the cleanest. There was also a stain on one of the comforters in the room upon checking at arrival, with no one at the desk at night we just had to not use it. We’ve stayed at B&B hotels and are generally happy with the experience given the price. I’m sure it was just that particular room however, we probably wouldn’t stay again unless only for a night at a low price. Again, the location was great but overall experience was a bit lower than usual, hopefully was just a one off due to the busy time of year.

I was on a business trip, and the company I work for got me a room in this hotel. My window view was onto another building and a fitness center, making it really easy for those people to watch me the whole time I was in my room. Fortunately, there were curtains, but still. I wanted daylight, not a cave. The room itself, although tiny, was rather clean and tidy when I arrived. It has only two sockets. One in the bathroom, and one next to the bed. So if you're in bed and wanted to charge your phone while, let's say, using your laptop plugged in - forget it. Room service didn't change my sheets the whole week (and there was a small stain on one of them). When it was time to change the bathroom towels, they brought new ones, but left one (that I've been using to dry my legs and feet) on the sink. Bathroom is okay-ish. You need to be an expert to find the right temperature in the shower, but that's the case with many hotels I've been to so I don't mind. What I do mind though is the noisy ventilation system working 24/7, torturing my ears and brain. Breakfast options taste okay, but there isn't really much to choose from. It's cheese, salami and butter. When it comes to sweets, there was Nutella and some jam. The drinks were OJ, multi-fruit juice, various teas and coffee. Receptionists were professional and very pleasant to talk to.

Ibis, consistent and reliable. There is nothing that stands out about this Ibis but that’s a good thing. You know what you are getting with Ibis. The check-in was fast and efficient. The staff was competent. The room was clean and quiet. The weather was very hot on our arrival, but the room was comfortable. On the second day a front came through and the temperature dropped considerably, and the room remained comfortable, so they have the temperature within the building under control. Everything worked as it should, no failures or surprises. The location of this hotel is excellent if you want to be near the train station (there’s a below ground passage to the station nearby making it a convenient walk). It’s also close to the end of the large pedestrian section of Old Town. You can catch the trams nearby and there is a great bar at the nearby Grand Hotel. There’s another Ibis nearby (Ibis Nuremberg Altstadt) and I don’t know if the prices are comparable, but the Ibis Hauptbahnhof is only 250 meters away. There are restaurants nearby and several transportation options. Overall, this is a good location and a classic Ibis hotel. Reliable, reasonable cost and properly operated.

Die Lage ist echt genial, keine fünf Minuten zum Hauptbahnhof und am Beginn des Stadtzentrums. Das Frühstück war gut und die Dame die dort an den meisten Tagen Dienst gemacht hat war die einzige wirklich freundliche Person im Hotel, sie hat auch immer geschaut ob was fehlt und hat sich die Wünsche der Gäste gemerkt. Unser Zimmer lag auf meinen Wunsch zum Hof, das hatte daher keine tolle Aussicht, aber wir konnten sehr gut schlafen, weil es sehr ruhig war. Die Ausstattung ist minimalistisch und es gab nur einen Sessel, das Zimmer ist extrem klein, wäre schon für ein Einzelzimmer nicht wirklich genug Platz, zu zweit wird es echt eng. Die Ablageflächen sind vorhanden, aber kein Platz um die Koffer bequem abzustellen. Das Bad ist zwar auch nicht groß, v.a.das Waschbecken ist winzig, aber es gibt genügend Ablageflächen. Die Sauberkeit beim Zimmerbezug war in Ordnung, die Zwischenreinigungen eher dürftig. Das Personal an der Reception ziemlich wenig freundlich, es gab so gut wie nie eine halbwegs nette Begrüßung, wenn man ins Hotel kam oder ging.

A nice stay at this accor property. For an Ibis the rooms are of a good size, location is very close to the city centre. Old town and railways station are within walking distance. Several dining options in the old city. Room was without breakfast so cannot comment about it. Costs Eur 15 / person / day. Stayed in December, prices were on the higher side, I assume due to the Christmas market season. Service was top, and a special shout out to the gentleman working at the bar (evening Saturday 10th December). Really good and friendly service. I liked the location a lot, a stone throw from the city centre and hence avoiding the crowded streets and in a quieter yet centric neighborhood. No tea / coffee maker in room. Nice hotel and recommended.

I highly recommend this hotel. I had lost my baggage in the train but the reception man helped me a lot to solve that problem in English and German even though he was busy with his customers. Also the room was very clean and cozy. I definitely would like to stay here again! Thank you Steve(sorry if I write your name wrong) From Valencia
