We chose the accommodation for our weekend stay with family and friends because of its location and the consistently positive reviews. In fact, the hotel is close to the city center (although not within the city walls, but within a quarter of an hour's walk) and has good infrastructure connections (to the subway and tram, as well as the bus; Playmobil Park is easy to reach from here). The accommodation also offers free parking, which is quite unique for a Nuremberg hotel in this location and price category. Overall, the price was acceptable (although not cheap), especially since breakfast is also included. The hotel is run by a family who invest a lot of care in the (loving, if somewhat old-fashioned) design, the outstanding cleanliness and the varied breakfast (great fruit salad!). We read in the reviews that the service was extremely friendly. Unfortunately we cannot confirm this. Unfortunately, our stay began with a misunderstanding regarding bed allocation. Due to a misleading email from us and without cross-checking ************'s official booking form, it was assumed that 2 fewer children would be traveling with us. This meant that additional extra beds had to be prepared on site. As a result, we had apparently already failed completely with the operators and didn't receive any kind words further down the line. As soon as we arrived, we were given a lengthy lecture about our previous history, which is why we immediately felt unwelcome. We weren't entirely sure whether we would get the beds we wanted or not. (Mind you: It was about 2 missing beds for 2 2-year-old girls. We were denied the simple assembly of 2 baby beds with the detailed explanation that these children were no longer babies (even though the total load capacity would not have been exceeded). Ultimately We got the extra beds, but without fall protection, which is why one of the girls had to sleep in the parents' bed.) Any questions we asked were initially rudely rejected (Can one family check in with the other? - No, because of Corona. Is there any more fruit salad? - No, I won't do that anymore. Can we still store the suitcases today? - No, not today.) In the end, we were helped with these questions, but the way we dealt with it was, as described, rather dismissive. We cannot confirm that the hotel is particularly child-friendly. There is some childish decoration and sweets in the breakfast room, but the play corner was rationalized away, the children were reprimanded as soon as they touched the decorations or tried to look into the kitchen & there was no friendly, direct approach to our children throughout the weekend. We think the hotel might be more suitable for adults
