Fletcher Hotel Restaurant Veldenbos

It certainly cannot be due to the friendliness of the staff. At least most of them, because why do you give a guest who comes in in a wheelchair and has difficulty walking a room for which he has to climb a staircase with narrow steps, knowing that there is also a dangerous step in the corridor above. Then you don't know much about hospitality yet! To be fair, someone offered another room after breakfast, but by then we had already finished with Fletcher Veldenbos. When you entered the room you were met with a musty, damp, moldy smell. The carpet rippled across the room. This one was also full of unclear spots that you better not think about. When we opened the windows we were afraid that they would fall out of the unpainted window frames. The building hasn't seen a paintbrush for at least 20 years (but probably longer). The wet room (because it cannot be called a bathroom) consists of a toilet at toddler height and when you use it, your knees are stuck under the sink. There is also a rain shower that floods the wet area when used because the shower screen cannot be moved with any option. Bumpy, lumpy beds make this a 3-star 'hotel room' according to Fletcher. One thing is clear: ambassador Mirna has never had her face filmed here!

Room 003 in the 'dependance' (separate from the hotel, not inside) is very small, normal rate was paid, very dated. Very clean. Hallway smelled strongly of air freshener (cover up?). Head office not service oriented at all. Old hotel, noisy, wooden floors, old, dingy carpet. Good breakfast. Very disappointed in Fletcher.
