We were visiting Crufts so stopped for a night here. My husband has travelled a lot for work and is a Hilton gold card member so this was a free stay on points. The hotel seems to be in a regeneration area and there are building sites and boarded up buildings around. It is also on a very busy main road. So - the good bits - plenty of parking, albeit for £12 per night and a bright open reception, when you could find the entrance. Which wasn't obvious at first. And the staff are just delightful. Polite, helpful and cheerful. Which is just as well as we were not entirely impressed with the rest of the hotel. On checking in, as gold card members we were offered a 'drink and a snack' free of charge. Tea and biscuits maybe, a gin and tonic and some nuts perhaps? Actually a choice between a tin of Pepsi or a bottle of water and either a packet of Skittles or a packet of Aero's. Not really our thing, but anyway. The room was very small. Bright and well lit - laminate floor with a rug under the bed (?) a sort of corner sofa (very hard) and just a dresser with kettle etc and nothing much else. Minimal hanging and no storage. But fine for an overnight. Hiltons have always had lovely, luxurious bathrooms. This one was small, very small. The only hooks and hanger in the shower itself (?). But adequate - or it would have been if we could have coaxed anything other than lukewarm water from the shower. As the room itself was very cold, a hot shower would have been welcome. The towels were fluffy at least. One of those rooms with a sealed window so you rely on the aircon. Which blew lukewarm. Nothing we could do would persuade it to warm up the room. The quilt on the bed was fairly thin - which usually doesn't matter in hotels, but with a lukewarm shower, lukewarm room and nothing much on the bed we clung together all night for warmth! It was a pretty hard bed and pretty uncomfortable pillows too. So we thought we might have a light supper downstairs - as encouraged by the receptionist. We don't eat meat. Most other things, but not meat. There really wasn't anything much and what there was was hugely expensive - particularly as we just knew it would be out the freezer and into the microwave. We chose a couple of toasted paninis. They arrived with a big smile from the waitress which was nice. They were very toasted paninis and had simply been plonked down on a plate - no salad, no garnish. Very, very toasted paninis full stop. For £9.99 each. After a very chilly and uncomfortable night's sleep and a lukewarm shower we tottered down to breakfast. The famous Hilton Breakfast. Well, there was a bit of cooked stuff and a bit of cold stuff and some breads various. The fresh fruit was either defrosted fruits of the forest or very elderly watermelon (which had reached the slimy stage). There was yoghurt and nuts and seeds and if you love waffles you could make your own. And the usual tea and coffee machines etc etc. Frankly, you'd do better at a greasy spoon. We r

Plenty of parking, lovely modern open plan foyer/lounge/dining area. Reception staff were very pleasant and efficient and booked in promptly. The hall area was spotless and the room was excellent, twin room with 2 great size beds, everything you could need was in the room all done in the best use of space leaving the sleeping area feeling spacious. A great size tv with good choice of channels. The bathroom was lovely and everything worked as it should, loved the picture behind the toilet :-). We both had a great sleep as the beds were comfy and the quilts super light but warm. Breakfast was a good choice and nice and fresh, brilliant value for money, thanks 😊

Stayed here as not too far from NEC Birmingham. We went to Crufts. Only 25 mins away. Hotel is modern. Just built last September. Room are spacious and have all amenities. Hair dryer, iron fridge and safe. Staff are friendly welcoming and polite. Define use again if going to NEC. The comment about the car park I agree with. If I’m staying there it should be free. I could have parked just outside for free. No more secure than on the road. However, will definitely use again. Thanks to all for a great stay.

Staff at check in were friendly and was fairly prompt. The reception was nice bight airy and clean (given it is a new hotel - approx. 6months). Parking was charged additional (approx. 20% of the room charge), which seemed a bit excessive and something that they should look at. The room was fairly compact but had everything you would need. From the large flat screen television, tea/coffee, safe, mini fridge, and iron/ironing board. Bathroom was also nice, clean and modern. The shower area was a nice size, although the shower pressure was a little low than used to. The bed was a large and comfortable. The Velcro at the ends of the curtains to prevent additional light entered was good and the black out curtains worked well. We wanted and got a quite room. Breakfast was fairly standard and you had what you would generally want. Hot/Cold drinks, cereal, cheese, hot selection etc. The tongs were all green which are usually used to indicate vegetarian dishes, so this was very unclear and should have not all been green servers. Overall pleasant and friendly and would be fine with staying here again.

We actually stumbled upon this hotel after looking for a weekend break. We didn't want a hectic city break, but more of a chilled out weekend, and this lovely hotel fit the bill. It is a new and very modern hotel, which is light, airy and open plan. It is also incredibly clean, with very friendly, courteous and helpful staff - lovely customer service. Our room, while not the biggest, was clean and well equipped, with a big smart TV, fridge, and double rainfall shower. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable. The breakfast, which was included, was lovely, with the usual breakfast options, both hot and cold. My only gripe is that they charge £10 a day for the car park, which, in my humble opinion, should be free, especially for Hilton Honors members. However, we loved our stay here, especially as it's literally next door to the town centre and 10 minutes to the train station, and not forgetting the excellent staff.
