I suddenly decided to go to Numazu and made a reservation on the night of the day of my stay. The open-air bath in the room takes a lot of time until the hot water is poured, so if you want to enter immediately, you should put hot water immediately after you get into the room. The hot spring in the bath in the public bath was a good hot water with a soft little bit. Because the inn is next to it, there is a blindfold in the woman's open-air bath, and the ocean view was not desired. This hotel is right next to the Mishima train station for both regular JR trains and Shinkansen trains on Tokyo-Osaka line. One can walk in without even cross the road. Access if from the first floor (ground) and the reception is in the second floor. There is a small shopping area in the ground floor. Rooms are of good size with separate seating area. Beds are comfortable and have all facilities expected in a first class hotel. More importantly the toilet and bathroom are in sperate enclosures. If one gets the station side rooms, one could see Mt Fuji in all its glory. Breakfast is good with a choice of Japanese and western dishes; and staff is quite helpful. The only issue is that noise insulation could be little better; it is certainly not comparable to what we found in a hotel situated next to a busy train track.
