The best part of our trip to Costa Rica was our stay with Carlos at Casa Donna Rosa. He is the PERFECT host! Our room was beyond comfortable and breakfast was delicious each day. We felt like we landed in paradise after a long day. Carlos even made reservations for day activities which made lifetime memories for us. We couldn’t have asked for anything better.

By far my first recommendation for a delightful Costa Rican experience in Nuevo Arenal. Casa Donna exceeds expectations for attentiveness, accommodations, exceptional food, and atmosphere. The grounds are absolutely stunning and immersive. We dined with toucans and exotic songbirds on a breezy rooftop, slept in an adorable well appointed casita, and always had the guidance and knowledge of Carlos and Werner for restaurants and attractions in the area. If I could live there forever I would!

What a lovely stay. Beautiful room with an amazing view of the lake. There is a balcony with an incredible breeze. The inn is quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing! I hope to return soon.

This was our second stay with Carlos y Werner. Once again a great experience! The breakfasts are just incredible and the room was perfect. There was also a lovely atmosphere of friendly and worldly guests that we enjoyed meeting during breakfasts. If there’s anything you need or want to know, all you gotta do is ask. These guys are a wealth of information. Every time we went to a store of restaurant and say “we’re staying at Casa Donna Rosa” the people have great things to say about Carlos and Werner!

Our stay was too short! We had high expectations returning to Nuevo Arenal and Casa Donna Rosa, and Carlos and Werner excelled! Such a great experience! They think of all the details. Don’t skip breakfast! So good! Invaluable excursion help!

From the moment we arrived, we felt completely spoiled and well cared for. The attention to detail throughout the property is absolutely spectacular! Our bathroom was especially thoughtful - designed with all the little touches that made us feel pampered and right at home. Our hosts were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable about the area, which added so much to our experience. We especially loved spending time on the balcony and patio, which offered both lovely privacy and stunning views of Lake Arenal and the surrounding mountains. And the breakfasts? ¡Muy rico! Each morning’s specialty meal was delicious and beautifully prepared. Thank you so much for a fabulous and unforgettable stay!

Amazing hosts along with beautiful views and very clean and comfortable rooms. Had Toucans at our back porch and during breakfast. Must stay when traveling through. The hosts are welcoming, very knowledgeable about the area and cook a delicious breakfast!!

This was one of the best B and B's we have ever stayed at. The room was very comfortable as was the king size bed. The bathroom was a delight, warm, large and very well appointed. Most of all thank you Carlos for all the chats and delicious breakfast. A beautiful respite in a beautiful place.
