Swan Tower has an environment of the 2000's. Is that bad? Not at all in this case. Although design and furniture resembles the 2000's, the property is well preserved, staff is friendly, internet connection is fast, and breakfast is average. Parking is free, and fare is fair. I booked a suite, with a spacious living room with a small kitchen, and a separate room. Location is perfect, in a nice neighborhood in Novo Hamburgo. I believe that Swan is in the top 3 hotels in the Vale dos Sinos area.

The hotel and the service were very low than the Accor network offered. The room was cleaned very badly, mainly the bathroom. No shampoo or bath touch was available. The welcome drink was not offered, which I had to ask for at the end of the night, and the amount charged was above that in the reservation and I had to complain to adjust the price. The value paid by me (Gold Client) without breakfast was the same paid by a couple who was entering the hotel. but with breakfast included.

We had an cancellation of flight in Caxias do Sul, at 16/10/2023, and the airline LATAM, travelled us to Porto Alegre and hosted us at almost 30 km from the airport. The company also released the consumption for dinner at Room Service, requests for me and for two more rooms travelling with me. The request was made by us at 21:37. It was a hamburger that arrived at 0h in my room, a soup and a salad that arrived in my sister's room at 1:47 and two sandwiches in another apartment of a friend couple, who received about 1:40 too. We were going out of the hotel at 3 p.m. to get the flight in time, that is, we could not even sleep or eat right. The apartment was good, but the service experience was scary not for the staff who were there, but for the lack of management planning to ensure when they accept such requests, have sufficient staff to meet the demand for peak moments.
