The Cottage is equipped with heat and air conditioning, a kitchenette with full sized refrigerator, gas stove & oven and a microwave. A private bath with shower, a queen bed in the loft and a full size Futon in the main room. A table and chairs in the main room, a bench and chairs outside along with a fire ring. Firewood is not provided you must supply you own, or may roam the 27 acres on the undeveloped trails and pick up any limbs/wood you may find in the woods (please do not cut anything down).We do not provide linens, towels, cooking utensils or dishes & silverware, you will need to bring your camping gear, (sleeping bags are fine).The Cottage in the Woods is located on 27 acres with deer, turkey and other abundant wildlife. There are undeveloped trails that guests are invited to explore, no hunting or atv riding permitted.The Cottage in the Woods is located 1/2 mile south of Deersville just minutes from Tappan Lake Park, with beach, hiking trails, picnic area, fishing and boat launching ramp on Tappan Lake. There is also boat, kayak and jet ski rentals. Also close by is Clendening Lake with some of the best catfish and bass fishing in Ohio. Also near by is access to the Buckeye Trail. There is also Deersville General Store near by with their famous homemade ice cream, firewood and supplies for all of your needs.Property owners do live on the property. The cottage is tucked in the woods over 200ft. from the owners residence with 2 out buildings in between the properties. Owners insure complete privacy for the guests, but may be seen out doing maintenance around the property.
