Tudor Lodge Hotel

This a great hotel. We booked to stay recently to go to a concert in the city centre. The bus into town is literally outside and is a short ride in an out of the centre. We upgraded to the the chalet type rooms - I would highly recommend this if your budget stretches that far. It has a double and single rooms, a good kitchen area as well as a small dining area and a significantly sized lounge area. Cooking may be a last option as there are all sorts of fast food places over the road so no risk of getting hungry. The hotel was clean, very tidy and warm, each with a TV which has access to streaming a wide variety of channels. Lovely breakfast in the restaurant of the hotel itself. Our host was kind and helpful with lots of local information - there is a well stocked welcome folder, again with lots of useful information. Lots of parking available. We will definitely book again.

Comfortable, budget hotel on the western outskirts of Nottingham. Buses run into town every few minutes from just outside the front door. Room was plenty big enough and was clean and functional. Breakfast was great - better than some more expensive places I've stayed. Would stay again.

A great little hotel . I stayed in room 5 at the front of the building and although it faces the main road it didn't affect my sleep. The room was spotlessly clean, bed was comfortable and the ensuite looks like it has a new shower and shower cubicle. The fella who checked me in was very polite, cheerful and helpful in giving me advice on times and numbers of buses from the bus stop outside the hotel to the city centre and back. The same chap prepared, cooked and served breakfast. It was all freshly done and was delicious. I didn't get his name but I can say he is a credit to his employer and makes everything seem so simple with no drama. The breakfast room is so nicely decorated and set out with mods and scooter memorabilia and brings back great memories of that era. Free car parking, great hotel with excellent service . I know where I'll be staying next time I'm in Nottingham.

LOCATION - easy to find and not too far from the city centre. Has a bus stop literally just outside so you don't have to pay the exorbitant parking fees if you want to venture into the city. AMBIENCE - very nicely decorated throughout, with an interesting 'Mod' theme in the dining room. Our room (2) was spotlessly clean, excellently presented with tv, tea/coffee facilities, iron, hairdryer and fan/heater. The ensuite was nicely decorated, with excellent facilities. BREAKFAST - a perfectly-cooked F.E.B. STAFF - the lady who checked us and and made our breakfast couldn't have been more helpful, pleasant and professional. NEGATIVES - doesn't distract from a well-deserved five stars, but the toilet seat and lid in the ensuite was loose. The curtains could do with adding a good few inches to the bottom, as the outside street lighting shone under the curtains onto where your heads lay on the bed. Also, room 2 (and possibly others) face on to a busy road, so can be noisy. Neither the light nor the noise bothered me (a city boy) but did cause a little disturbance to my wife (a country girl). OVERALL - a very comfortable stay and will definitely stay again the next time we're in Nottingham.

Hotel was fantastic, affordable, breakfast substantial, rooms very comfortable and staff, Carol, made us feel so so welcome. Easy to get about from and we highly recommend it. Thank you Tudor Lodge for a truly memorable and relaxing weekend.

We stayed here for one night as we were going to a party nearby. Lovely welcome from the owner, couldn't do enough to make our stay a good one. Comfortable room with everything we could want. Lovely breakfast the following morning. Would recommend.
