Hotel Villa Giulia
4.2/541 Reviews
Hotel Flora
4.2/542 Reviews
The hotel is only 200 yards from the main street of Noto which is where everything is situated. The hotel is small but our room was perfectly adequate for the 4 of us and I know if you wanted larger rooms they were available. The staff were super friendly and helpful, particularly the lady who ran breakfast. Breakfast was very good, including the option for an omelette or a more traditional sicilian style. Our only quibble was with the AC which wasn't able to handle the 35 degree heat we experienced. If we turned it off when we went out we returned to a 30 degree room... We got around this by leaving it on when we went out which wasn't great. That said we totally loved Noto and this hotel was a great place to base a stay. Would definitely return.
Hotel Porta Reale
4.6/567 Reviews
The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable, with a terrace reachable by staircases, to enjoy the view of the city (in sundays as in the ugly). Complete availability of accessories, renewed daily if used. Cleaning, gentleness, courtesy, warmth, and above all, sweetness (in all senses) of breakfast, thanks to Donatella. Finally, a nice conversation with Annalise, ready to listen to the requests of her guests. I mean, a truly familiar welcome, which made my working stay an opportunity to enjoy a beautiful holiday, even in the low season, when, despite the Christmas holidays, the fermentation of the citizen takes a break. These four days in Noto (with a touch and a run to Modica), between walks and musical moments, have only strengthened my visceral bond to the land of Sicilia, in which I am not looking forward to returning.
Kapuhala Sicily
4.2/514 Reviews
Our Italian friends brought us to this new hotel and I have to say, the staff at Kapuhala was one of the best service in all the restaurants we have been to in this area. When we first arrived we were given a tour by the owner (an Italian gentleman who lives abroad and spoke perfect English) who explained to us about their mission. The whole estate is full of plants and many of them are harvested and cooked in the restaurant for the guess. After a drink by the pool we tried their farm-to-table dinner and it was amazing. Thank you for making us feel like home and giving us the Sicilian hospitality!
Villa Ambra B&B
4.7/550 Reviews
Villa Ambra is quite simply, perfect. I've stayed in lots of places, B&B, hotel, pensione, maybe 50 or so, in Sicily, and many are good, but you seldom get to appreciate the sort of efforts that Ambra, the owner operator, goes to in order to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The rooms are lovely, clearly designed with her guests comforts in mind, and easy access to a secure, gated car park is worth so much in either 30 degree heat or torrential rain, (you've got to love Sicily). Ambra's breakfasts are fabulous, with a decent selection of fruit & home made goodies as well as really good coffee. The pastries were absolutely the best we ate in all of Europe, just unbeatable. Such care in a host is very special. But the time that Ambra spent patiently explaining her beautiful Noto and the surrounding area, the coastal nature reserve, cava d'ispica & Noto Antico, etc, drawing maps & advising where to go & in which order, what should absolutely not be missed, this is what makes Villa Ambra the only place to stay to visit Noto. It's so good, I would suggest basing yourself here for at least a week & driving to the other main sights & cities, Ragusa, Scicli, Modica etc, with one of Ambra's amazing breakfasts to power you through a hard days exploring. That's our plan for next time.
Grand Hotel Sofia
4.2/561 Reviews
I look back at our stay at Grand Hotel Sofia with great joy. Some reviews may state that it's just ''okay'', but I thought it was perfect. Some furniture might be outdated, but this made it charming as well. Our room was very spacious, the housekeeping did an excellent job and made sure all the areas were clean. The bed was very comfortable and the airconditioning worked really well. I chose this hotel because of the pool and we enjoyed it to the fullest. The pool is very large with enough sunbeds, for this time of the year it was not too busy either. Every morning we spent at least 2 hours at the pool, which had a nice temperature too. Breakfast was typical Italian breakfast, they had brioche with granita and all types of sweet pastries and fruits. Only two points of improvement would be a bit more introduction during check-in, for example how to get to the city center because we had to find out with Google Maps and apparently there was a faster route. Second point would be that the music at the pool, which the lifeguard would put on around 11AM, was very loud rock/country music. Some music is fine but this was very loud and maybe a more generic genre would work better. I noticed people moving their sunbeds to be a bit further away from the music so we weren't the only ones. Parking area was very spacious, we always had a spot to park. Wellness center seemed closed, we didn't receive instructions regarding the wellness either so we were a bit unsure. Altogether we had a fantastic stay and would for sure come back if we ever visit Noto again!
