I Carusi, how you amaze with the overall experience but also frustrate about little things! First, it is beautiful, with panoramic views of the countryside and ocean beyond, best viewed from the elegant infinity pool. The rooms are modern and elegant, like separate small (very small) villas. The atmosphere is calm, zen like, but to some might be a bit sterile. At times, staying here is sophisticated, but at times a DIY project. When power went out, they had a generator...but you have to reset the fuse box yourself in the closet of your room. Moussa is a wonderful resource when things go awry. Breakfast is good but basic. The establishment, an old estate, is down a narrow dirt path off the main road, which adds the allure but don't count on getting anywhere else fast. You have to call to exit at the gate. If you look past some minor things, you won't want to.

Beautiful place! Rooms are spacious and the hotel amenities are well kept and clean. I would recommend this as the top place to stay in the area. owners are friendly. One minor issue worthy of mention: there is a lot of garbage and trash in the streets nearby. In fact, we took day trips and spent time in nearby towns such as Noto, Marina di Noto, Avola, Marzamemi, Modica, etc. Anyone travelling in the region of Southern Sicily should be forewarned that there is litter everywhere. In fact people just dump their trash in the roads. In the countryside it is not uncommon to find old furniture and trash bags piled alongside the road. Apparently, there is a garbage problem in this region. So sad because it detracts from the beauty of the towns and countryside. If you don't mind seeing litter and trash everywhere, then no worries. For me, I won't go back.

This place made us feel at home right away. A gorgeous infinity pool with seaview is the eyecatcher, but the attention to detail and service made it unforgettable. With only 5 rooms, the place is kept and swept spotless, and the duplex room was very spacious and functional. Breakfast is table served (no buffet) and very refined, with ample variety and choice. Dinner was nice Sicilian cuisine, very tasty without being overly fancy. We loved the little poolside surprise snacks brought out by the host with the little accompanying chat. If you are looking for opulent luxury, go elsewhere. We’ll choose this little refined gem anyday…

This place is a hidden gem, its beautiful, quiet and full of friendly people. A lot of attention is given to detail - we stayed for 6 nights with our two kids and used the hotel to explore the amazing region full of nice beaches and historical cities. The hotel has a lovely pool to recover from heat and activities! Rooms are well kept and clean!

Welcoming and beautifully situated, this small hotel is convenient to Noto and a number of lovely beaches in a protected nature reserve. The rooms are large and luxurious, and the grounds are well kept. The beautiful pool has wonderful views over the countryside towards the ocean. The food is excellent and the staff both helpful and friendly. We would love to return.

We thoroughly enjoyed the magnificent location, the relaxing atmosphere, the wonderful food ànd the welcoming kindness of everyone at I Carusi. Highly recommended are a walk to the reserve/ beach with a picknick basket and the cooking class. Now even our kids will be able to make the best pasta alla Norma . They’ve also arranged for a memorable Etna tour, one of the highlights of our Sicily trip. Hoping to come again!

Very nice and relaxing mini-resort! Beautiful surroundings, excellent rooms and very, very nice staff. Kitchen also super. What more could you wish for? We visited in November, temperatures were still above 20 centigrade. Pool not heated but still open for the ocassional daredevil

I Carusi used to be an almond farm. It still produces almonds which are served with drinks and the best I have ever had. There are five rooms, each with a private garden and ours had a lovely view across the valley. The view from the swimming pool across farmland to the sea is stunning. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The menu for lunch and dinner is small but cooking is excellent. Make sure you try the almond parfait. It is indeed perfect!
