Very nice structure in Noto area, very well located to visit Noto, Siracusa and the other cities in eastern part of Sicily. It's quite isolated so you can consider this option only if you have a car. We booked for 6 days the Palmento suite very nice room in an old structure (see the pictures). Problem is as it's managed: it's owned by a family and management doesn't look to be really professional. I was writing at least a 4 stars feedback but as It was managed a simply request of late stay changed my evaluation. Manager changes the availability of our room 3 times in less than 24 hours, creatining a big dissapointment and issues from our side. At first we could use the room until 14 pm, last feedback was you've to leave at 11am.It's better to have a negative feedback since the begining. Even about a potential plan B point was the lack of clarity, final proposal was to use the shower close to open air swimming pool. To manage an hotel it's a professional activities and you should act in professional way to manage a simple proposal as late stay.

Our stay at Scilla Maris was remarkable! The hosts are not only super friendly and provide a lovely breakfast, they are also warmhearted and love being hosts. Ilaria is a fantastic chef and thus we several times enjoyed having a Sicilian dinner at Scilla Maris (they also serve very good local wines like Etna Bianco, Grillo..) The rooms are spacious and climatized, the beds are very comfortable.

We stayed three nights at Scilla Maris and used it as a basis to see Noto, Marzamemi and to try the beach one day. It was very nice and calm in there, and easy to reach all those places in short time. The restaurant, though a separate business, was incredible, so I recommend to try it; we went through half their menu during out stay, the chef is creative and can really cook (we love good food, and this place was an unexpected surprise). The staff were all lovely, and even the owner’s lovely dogs were really friendly! Sicily is not exactly my favorite destination, but if I go back, I will make sure to stay at Scilla Maris again!

Swimming pool was cold and it was very windy there during all our stay. Only one restaurant in hotel as there is nothing around within 10 -15 min drive . That restaurant was overpriced and serving only 4 course dinner for 60-70 euros with no right to choose dishes . Food was just ok nothing special. N absolutely nothing to do there , better to stay somewhere else where is a choice.

Property is old and needs maintenance. Road to get there is dirt with many stones and rubbish so we had a flat Tire on rented car. Swimming pool is cold and it’s very windy there so not possible to swim before hot summer. Nothing is nearby is the only restaurant is in the hotel extremely overpriced portions are very small and the quality of food is not good at all. It was not good value for money and we will never be back

Scilla Maris is a beautiful and peaceful place where you can really relax and enjoy the Sicilian atmosphere. Our bedroom - the Lentischio suite - was absolutely wonderful. The mezzanine bedroom, sitting room and bathroom were all well-designed, beautifully decorated and comfortable. Bed, pillows, bed/bath linen, beach towels - all excellent quality. Just like the interior, the exterior is also very attractive. The planting is stunning: different varieties of cactus, including the prickly pear (Opuntia ficus-indica!!) and Mediterranean herbs everywhere. The pool and the area around it are also beautiful. If you want to swim lengths, it's a perfect 18 metres long. For a more leisurely approach, there are ample sunbeds under gazebos or carob trees for pool-side relaxation. We were made to feel very welcome by the owners and staff alike, all of whom were on hand to answer all our questions, and help us with local information - for example visits to beaches and wineries. And also for whenever we needed a bottle of wine or a beer by the pool. Scilla Maris is the perfect getaway - whether you want to relax in comfort, peace and beauty or whether you want to nip off to the beach nearby or the winery next door, or visit stunning Noto or cute Marzamemi. All our breakfasts and dinners in Datterino restaurant were all delicious and as it's separate from the hotel side, please see our other review.

Our friends recommended this beautiful place to us. Close to the main tourist attractions in the area but very private and quiet. The structure is furnished with extreme taste and with attention to every detail. Our room was spacious and very clean. The owners very nice and helpful. Absolutely recommended also for the possibility at the end of the day to relax by the pool. Very good breakfast! Silvia e Andrea

If you need to be ignored and petulant staff this is the place for you! Food is great, but the testosterone from the staff is almost palpable the staff -nice space shame about the attitude.. needs some repair as bit’s falling apart…
