hello, the beaches of Madagascar are municipal, what right do you have to not allow tourists to walk along the beach? you are breaking the law ….. I would like the authorities of the country to resolve this issue with you

Overall: A mixed bag. Recommended for Italian package tourists. Otherwise, I'd say go to a different resort - it will probably be equally as nice and you'll save loads of money. Positives: - Amazing location, beautiful beaches and sunsets, superb pool, stunning grounds - Tasty food and great pizza - Malagasy staff all super friendly (especially when you learn a couple of words to say in the local language!) - On-site doctor incredibly handy if you get ill Negatives: - Extremely expensive, especially for Madagascar - Entirely geared towards Italians on package holidays. They arrive en masse, followed by lorry-loads full of suitcases. I don't think a single person there apart from us wasn't Italian. Very weird, feels like you are in some mass-manufactured Italians-only mega-resort. Italian music, Italian announcements, etc. - The overall vibe is that of a cheesy European resort placed in a luxury location. E.g. cheesy shows by the animation team each night in the theatre (in Italian only), or the dance they do on the beach 5x a day everyday (to blaring Italian music). - Bird kept in a tiny cage in the small zoo area, sad to see an animal like that not be able to fly around. - I got food poisoning, not that it's the hotels fault as I get it can be caused by anything! But just weird that I was fine all week previously eating in much cheaper restaurants around the island, then get food poisoning after coming here - It says it's all inclusive but you have to pay for any bottled water that you want outside of lunch or dinner - Some staff e.g. security near the entrance were pretty rude

I have been travelling a lot, all over the world, but I have to admit that this is for sure the best resort I have ever stayed in. I discovered about it online, thanks to the many awards it won. The location is great, with 2 big beaches, one of which, dedicated to guests like me, who only want to relax and stay away from music. The staff is very helpful, always smiling and never intrusive. Also the GM is always around, talking with guests and looking after the service. The best part of the resort, is the F&B offer, with a 24H bar service and 2 restaurants: great buffet, many choices, every day different, with lot of fresh local fish and local fruits. I wish I could have stayed longer, as time, in this small part of paradise, flies away fast.

We found the staff in this hotel to be very unfriendly. In general, the hotel has a bad atmosphere, most of the guests, like us, do not seem to feel very comfortable here. Overall, a loveless and not at all recommendable accommodation.

Tried to go to the reception to enquire about staying for a night or for a day rate. Instead was grabbed by security who tried to take me to the ground. When I ran to reception to report the attack, the manager Patricia said that (1) she did not believe me, and (2) that the security guards are correct to assault people trying to get to the hotel, as no bookings can be made in person. This is a strange rule, but even if it is true, the security guards should be taught to escort potential guests to reception, rather than to attack them. This is appalling behavior for a hotel that is meant to be a luxury hotel for holidays. Patricia should be fired or retrained to learn how to simply make an apology and de-escalate. If I could give zero stars, I would.

We are a group of 19 people, landed without luggage after being mishandled by Ethiopian Airlines. We delayed for over 5 hours, all exhausted. Check-in was smooth, thanks to Rebecca - a very kind and welcoming person. The rooms are basic and noisy (opt for rooms far from the lobby). The food was in a variety and ideal for seafood lovers. The dessert was excellent. For entertainment, they have a team called Bravo, which focuses on whites only. In fact, they were very rude to us (Africans and Indians). The beach is undoubtedly the best on earth; long, clean, clear shallow waters, spectacular sunrise and sunset, safe and secure. The swimming pool is ok, but a resort of this status requires two or three pools. The indigenous people were amiable and welcoming, but the white lady at the front office and the white man in the restaurant were very rude and racist; for everything they believed that they were only doing us a favour instead of offering us a service as guests. On a general note, this place is truly worth a visit. The locals, the nature and the beach all blend to give you an experience of a lifetime!

Literally a hidden gem in the Indian Ocean! Absolutely worth travelling to; the resort is magnificent. There is absolutely anything you could ever imagine from a 100 year old turtle on the grounds to delicious desserts by an highly qualified baker. Not only is the staff delightful and extremely available for anything, but the general manager is always involved and very responsive to clients’ remarks. The resort is very well organised with external excursion to other islands around and also have plenty of activities and events that help guests socialise. Highly recommend not only for newly wed couples but also families as it’s a multifaceted resort.

Imagine waking up to the sound of the waves and the beautiful view of the crystal-clear waters from your private terrace. You can start your day with a refreshing swim in the resort's swimming pool or take a stroll on the white sandy beach. The resort's spa offers a range of treatments to help you relax and rejuvenate, while the fitness center is perfect for staying active during your vacation. The restaurant serves delicious local and international cuisine, and you can enjoy a drink at the bar while taking in the stunning views. The resort offers a wide range of activities such as snorkeling, diving, kayaking, and fishing, as well as cultural visits and excursions to the nearby islands. You can explore the island's rich culture, or simply relax on the beach and soak up the sun. The resort's staff is dedicated to making sure you have a memorable and enjoyable stay, and will be happy to assist you with any needs you may have during your stay. Andilana Beach Resort is a perfect place for those who are looking for luxury and exclusivity in a tropical paradise.
