Having lived in hotels for so long, I got into the habit of booking stays for a maximum of 4 days, even in hotels I know, let alone those I haven't been to yet. If I'm satisfied, I just extend my stay. And that's what I did at that hotel. The problem is when what happened here happens: instead of staying in the same room, I was demoted – literally. I went from the 2nd to the 1st floor and I can already say that I didn't like the new room at all. The location is quiet, far from the center of Lisbon – from Lisbon or any other interesting place, besides the beach. It is located at the top and has a beautiful view of the city and Porto. You have to walk a long way to the supermarket. Check-in was quick and I was even able to include coffee without having to pay for daily cleaning. Like the other hotels in the chain, there were no luggage carts. Outside the room, the carpet in the hallway reduces the noise of rolling suitcases and the maid's trolley. The hotel is huge and it took me a while to get to the room as it was at one end. The new room was at the opposite end and was closer to reception. The room is big, proof of that is that it even had a sofa. It also had a good balcony, with a table and 2 chairs. There was a huge, wide counter that held my large, heavy suitcases well. There was a wardrobe with drawers and plenty of hangers, enough to store the luggage of a couple of guests. The fixed safe – which increases security – was inside the wardrobe, but it did not get in the way of hanging clothes due to the height of this area. The other security item, which is very welcome, is the “burglar-proof” lock, as I don’t trust door locks. The lighting is somewhat retro – which is interesting – and is done using lampshades and spotlights. It seemed insufficient to me, because in addition to the blind spots, it is very weak. It's not for night owls like me. A good number of sockets, the problem is that, besides there not being any in the bathroom, there was no other free socket near the table that could be used to plug in the notebook, not only that, besides one not working, there were 4 lamps that took up 4 sockets. In room 101, the sliding door of the adapted bathroom made me lose another socket. I am on a personal crusade against the “minibar” – it is in parentheses, as it does not even deserve to be called that – adopted by this hotel. Without a freezer, it only has a small plate inside where a small amount of refrigeration is created, but it is incapable of freezing anything. Personally, I feel cheated, as one of the requirements for staying here is a minibar and here it ends up not being a differentiator compared to other hotels that don't have one. My sauces and creams have gone bad. And it doesn't appear in the photos on the booking sites, because if it did, I wouldn't have booked it. The air conditioning has a control fixed to the wall away from the bed and table, much less practical than the remote control. It is simpler than the other hotels in the chain I have been to, but it was well cooled, but s
