On arrival to No 82, The Unthank we were thankful to have had the last parking slot or parking could have been an issue. There was no one at the concierge so it took us a few minutes to work out how to get our key but, once we had crossed that hurdle we went up to the apartment which was named and not numbered. The interior was quaint and elaborately styled with all the amenities - double bed, cooker, fridge, sink, microwave, table for two, iron ,ironing board, and a closet for clothing. The bathroom was luxurious to look at with beautiful bling shaped black, silver and white tiling. All beautifully thought out. However, ther was no instruction on which tap was hot or cold so it took a fair while adjusting the water temperature. The fact that the shower screen was a tad inadequate, we couldn't help the water from spilling out onto the floor. The attention to detail was missed and the cleaners really needs to use a duster over the chandelier lighting and all around the room; high and low to ensure all cobwebs are removed and just to inspect that the throw on the bed is spotlessly clean and any small hairs on the bed are removed at inspection. The chrome piping around the apartment and bathroom could also do with a buff and a shine. Noise from the apartment next door was loud due to their door banging. Chatter could easily be heard from their apartment, so be sure to keepyour voice down. This being said, No.82 The Unthank is a wonderful place to stop over at and within easy reach of a few eateries across the road. We slept well in their very cozy bed. You will definitely have to try out some of their other luxurious rooms.
