Very nice accommodations, food was excellent. We went with a group and the welcome dinner we had the first night was excellent as were the included breakfasts. Right on the trail on the waterfront you can take into town.

We spent one night at this hotel as a family whilst on our Ontario Road Trip. We found our room to be tidy, clean, well kept and of good decorative order! We found the staff to be friendly and courteous. We liked the central location, the view of the bridge and water We did t use the pool, but there is one! It is a short walk into town ie 15 minutes.

After an exhausting 8+ hour journey, I walked into the lobby feeling dehydrated and drained. The moment I stepped in, "May" at the Front Desk greeted me with a beaming smile and a warm "Welcome Back." Wow, that simple gesture set the tone for what turned out to be an even better stay since my last visit in November. A huge thanks to May for going above and beyond to make sure this stay was flawless. Thanks also to the restaurant team. The food was the best food in the area. I was lucky enough to enjoy the beautiful outdoor patio. From the friendly managers (Lexi and others) to the housekeeping staff, everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there. Make sure to ask for a waterside room on an upper floor. This hotel delivers consistent excellence. I am already looking forward to my next visit.

Stayed here Saturday night Jan 11/25 for kids hockey games in the area. I was in room 101. Another hockey team decided to have their loud parent party in the lobby. Room 101 is the first room off the lobby. At 9:30 pm I called the front desk and asked how long they were going to allow the public lobby party. They said ‘quiet hour’ was at 11 pm and that I would need to wait until then. At 10 pm I went to the front desk and asked for a room change to a quieter area. She said they were sold out and did I want to change hotels?! Again I was told to please wait until ‘quiet hour.’ At 11:15 pm with no quiet hour in sight, lobby party still going strong with 12-18 parents, I went back to the desk and demanded that they take action. I suggested he ask the guests to finish their party in their rooms. ‘We don’t have a curfew’ was his response. By this point I am overtired and just so frustrated. Then, by some divine hotel miracle, oh look! We DO have an available room! He moves us (my daughter is sleeping through this racket and so I wake her up to repack) and we trudge down the hall to 113 at 11:30 pm. I think I fell asleep around 12:30 am. I suppose at this hotel you will only see certain people enjoying certain privileges like this, while other paying customers are told to ‘wait it out.’ I understand parent hockey culture involves a lot of drinking but for those who don’t engage, we are told to suck it up here I guess. My email to the GM, since they were conveniently not available, including videos of the party and my conversations with desk staff, has gone unanswered. I was told by the housekeeping manager ‘since you changed rooms everything’s good. That’s it.’ I suppose since accommodations are limited in the area they don’t really care about guest comfort or concerns. A group of drunk hockey parents openly drinking in the lobby will take priority if you are looking for rest.

A beautiful hotel. Aboriginal themed- beautiful location looking over the North Channel. Lots of parking, a modern building. Rooms were great with full furnishings ( tv, fridge, microwave, iron, board) Good beds, good pillows. Restaurant and bar on site. Food was excellent. Check in friendly and easy.

Very nice hotel stay. Comfortable beds, clean room, daily housekeeping. I found the wifi could be a little hit-and-miss so I ended up using my phone’s hotspot sometimes. The breakfast buffet (extra charge) was delicious; loved the omelette station. Checked out the pool but didn’t swim; it seemed clean and has a nice atmosphere.

My stay at the Manitoulin Hotel was ok. The rooms could use a little bit of renovations. There are scratches all over the furniture. The rooms were clean. Staff was nice. Unfortunately the restaurant "only" had a buffet as a dinner-option - the food was so and so .. The breakfast buffet was really good though!

We had a suite on the third floor for three nights. It was very spacious with windows on two walls, giving us a lovely view of the water and the sunsets. And indeed the lobby windows and windows in the hallways across from the elevators could have all been pictures in themselves. Bed and linens comfortable. Walk-in shower with double sinks and lots of fluffy towels. When we were there the restaurant was offering buffets for dinner and breakfast. We didn't like the menu for dinner and found the breakfast offering adequate at best. The trays were almost empty at 8:30 and the "cook" making my omelet spent more time fishing egg shells out of the bowl! We ate the rest of our breakfasts and one dinner at Elliott's.
