Leopard Mountain Safari Lodge

Where do I begin. We celebrated the last part of our honeymoon at Leopard Mountain and Melissa and the team pulled out all the stops. Private dinners, champagne, love hearts - all without asking. This just epitomises how the staff at Leopard Mountain treat their guests. They get to know you and care so much about your experience. We actually were not meant to stay at Leopard mountain but when unsatisfied at our previous accommodation they accommodated immediately and helped resurrect our trip. The rooms are sublime. The photos speak for themselves. Very modern, clean, huge bed, and we had Nyalas and Impalas drinking out of our private hot tub every day. The food was exquisite. Picnic lunches (and even special barbecues in the reserve amongst the wildlife) and high tea, as well as a beautiful breakfast spread and 3 course dinner. Whilst the menus are set for lunch and dinner, they are very accommodating with any alterations you would like. Perfection. Plus the evening dinners are under the starts by the fire. The drives are the highlight. Day and night the guides (we had Sean) use their expert knowledge to answer any of your questions and show you the highlights of the reserve. Anyone who says that this reserve doesn’t have the big 5 is simply not telling the truth. They do - and much much more. We stayed for 8 game drive and very rarely did we even drive the same road. Again, reviews saying the lodge doesn’t off road are again factually incorrect. If there is a visual / sighting, the drivers will off road for a better view. Plus most roads in the reserve feel off road. Another point is that they do not have a cut off length for drives. If you see something cool, then that is more important than getting back to the lodge. The communal areas are the perfect place to relax and take in the wildlife that walks into the lodge. I cannot praise Leopard mountain enough. You made this trip so special and for that I am forever thankful. Until next time. Sophie.

Our stay in Leopard Mountain was excellent. The people that work there know what service en kindness means. Everything was perfect. The safari’s with guide Sean were amazing, beautifull rooms with a view you don’t believe, diners outside near the campfire were excellent. I cannot find one thing that needs improvement. The only thing is that I regret we only stayed 2 nights. And everybody was extreem helpfull and kind for us!

As a family, we had an amazing stay at Leopard Mountain Lodge! Not only were the accommodation, food and game viewing all of a really high standard, the staff were so friendly, welcoming, happy and relaxed - it made for a casual environment, which we all loved! Ross, our guide, was really experienced and made the game drives fun and informative - we highly recommend him! The quality and abundance of wildlife in the Manyoni Reserve was quite unexpected with rewarding sightings in a beautifully maintained reserve. We also booked a Pangolin Experience, which was very special. Thank you Ryan and team for hosting us!

The most wonderful experience, every need catered for before you even realized you needed it, every detail so beautifully thought through and personalized, an absolute treat. Our requirements had been thoroughly researched before we arrived, and nothing was too much trouble. The games drives were fantastic, best sightings in 20years of game lodges. they set the bar very high for our overseas visitors. Food sublime, wine exceptional and the staff treated you like old friends. Would recommend Leopard Mountain for anyone looking to be spoilt and wanting outstanding game drives with exceptionally knowledgeable rangers.

Pure magic! I've stayed at several lodges throughout South Africa, but Leopard Mountain has a charm and attention to detail that I've never experienced. They hands down have the best rooms! The sunrises were out of this world. Taking a dip in the private plunge pool and enjoying the views at the beginning and end of the day... INCREDIBLE! I love this particular reserve as well. The landscape is stunning and we were able to witness one of the best animal sightings I've ever seen. I look forward to bringing groups to this lodge. I plan on bringing groups from the states 2-3 times over the next year. Sending a special shoutout to Percy and George. Their service and warmth did not go unnoticed.

We recently enjoyed a great 3 night stay at Leopard Mountain. The accommodation and food were excellent. The game drives with Graeme were brilliant and educational. All staff were very friendly and helpful - not least in resolving the issue with our car key battery. Only downside, despite the name, the leopard remained elusive.
