Great location close to train station. Very clean modern hotel at a good price. Nice pretty chicks at the reception. Very comfortable bed and a great bathroom. Many attractions near the hotel. Snacks and drinks are available from the vending machine. There are code keys everywhere, which means that outsiders have limited opportunities to roam around the hotel. The only downside turned out to be that a room with a window means a room with a window to other windows from which other residents were staring.

Me and my partner visited the Campanile Hotel Washington 20th-25th. Our stay was absolutely brilliant from beginning to end. Going from arrival, the staff were so pleasant I'm greeting and welcoming us, they constantly asked if everything was alright everyday. The food was brilliant breakfast in particular was perfect. The room was outstandingly clean and everything was replaced when needed. Shower was impeccable! Some staff even treated our pooch which was very appreciated. No problems at all throughout our stay. Many thanks to all the Campanile Hotel staff and the Deputy General Manager for everything. See you all again soon.

Had a lovely stay but felt let down by several issues. Check in was nice & smooth with friendly staff. We had upgraded our room to a superior & it was lovely & clean but had very little storage, especially the bathroom. This wouldn’t have been a problem for 1 night but we stayed 4. The views from the floor to ceiling window were superb. Room servicing appears to have been stopped throughout the country now since covid & if that is to continue then I would suggest larger bins are provided. Surely over a 4 night stay it is not unreasonable to have the room serviced at least once. Our “king size” bed was in fact 2 singles pushed together with the ever present gap in the middle. The toilet paper was cheap & nasty & out of keeping with the rest of the hotel. Breakfast was buffet style, adequate & reasonable. The drinks menu said there was a “guest ale” & to enquire at the bar to see what is was & the price. When I asked what the “guest ale” was I was told it was CIDER. Location is no more than a 5 minutes walk from the railway station. Overall we had a vey enjoyable stay & would definitely stop again.

This hotel is very cost-effective, as reflected in: 1. It is about 5 minutes walk from Sunderland train station and bus station. It is in the city center, and it is only 2 minutes walk to the bridges shopping mall. There are also many restaurants in the surrounding area. 2. Since it is a newly built hotel in 2022, the facilities are very new and modern, and the rooms are relatively clean. As a slightly clean freak, I am quite satisfied, but there are some unknown stains on the pillow, so I put on my own pillow cover. The reason for giving the facilities 4 stars is that the sound insulation effect is too poor. People passing by the door can clearly hear their speeches, but it is relatively quiet to sleep at night. 3. There are really not many choices for breakfast, and everyone feels tired of eating the next day. The price is not cheap, so I personally don't recommend eating buffet breakfast in the hotel. 4. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Summary: If you go to Sunderland again in the future, you will definitely consider living here again. The 4-person female dormitory has a lot of space, with separate toilets, sofas, TVs, tables and chairs, but the location is a bit quiet, so be careful when going out alone in the morning and evening

Karen was so friendly and helpful at check in. The room was nice, clean and the bed was comfortable. It was a shame the perimeter outside the hotel was covered in litter. It would have been great to have a key to let myself in the front door after 10pm, rather than having to ring the bell but the key didn't allow for this as they said it hadn't been updated.
