La Quinta Inn by Wyndham North Myrtle Beach

The hotel is tucked in behind a competitor's hotel but was easy enough to find. Check in was efficient and the staff was friendly. The room smelled strongly of cleanser but was clean. The main problem was that the elevator was out of service and our handicap room was on the fourth floor. They were able to give us a non handicap room on the second floor but that still involved climbing stairs. Who doesn't have handicap accessible rooms on the ground floor?

Wish I had read my own review before booking this place. The hotel and the rooms were clean, and the staff is pleasant. King bed had some of the smallest pillows I've ever seen, that was weird. They've clearly invested a lot of money to convert something tired and run down into something nicer, but- walking through the building all we could muster was "what have we done to ourselves". When we pulled in the parking lot, we kind of already knew this place was going to be unique, just looking at the folks milling around the parking lot. This is not your hotel for a romantic weekend away...it's a stop, sleep, be gone hotel. Regretted booking non-refundable....I'd have never gone inside after pulling in the parking lot.

Very clean and extremely nice facility. Big improvement from years past. Claudia and Edward made our stay very comfortable. We will definitely return.

This is an impressively clean hotel, with accessible parking. The staff is very helpful and also kind and welcoming. They answered any questions I had. This will be my regular hotel I use. I totally recommend!

Just not a good hotel. Stayed due to pet, but wouldn’t stay again. Hotel had homeless people sleeping in lobby. People just stopping in to charge cell phones in the lobby. Multiple people sleeping in their cars in the parking lot. Hotel floors had hair in the floors. Check out experience was a disaster.

This hotel was passable but the room was not entirely clean. There was some debris and dirt at various places in the room . The rest of the hotel was fine, including breakfast (although not many breakfast options). The location was in a highly commercial area of North Myrtle Beach. It was convenient to stores but not at all walkable.

Noisy. Doors slam and stomping, kids running can be heard constantly.

On my receipt it showed charges for pets is 20 a night and the agent at the front desk charged me 25 for each night. 10 dollars is not that big of deal but it is the principle of it.

Walking into the property, the pool area and pool were dirty. Check in was easy, the problem began with the room. It was cold when we arrived, turned on the heat to 72 degrees, the smoke detector goes off and the smell emitted from it was bad. Which intensified the fresh paint smells, which the property had failed to let the room air out. The room itself looked as if it was still under renovation and the floors had not been mopped in a while. Our feet kept sticking to the floor and when we got out of the shower, walked into the bedroom area to dress, we dried out feet and the towel was black! Gross!! The buffet was underwhelming. The eggs and potatoes were hard, coffee was very weak and no one to clean up after people, so table were sticky and messy. I wish I would have not booked here. My husband and I both woke up sick from the paint smells from coughing all night long. Do not stay here! It’s the worst!!
