We had a terrible start to our BnB tour of Tasmania having the first one at The Lodge on Elizabeth. Firstly arriving at 4pm on a Friday and having great trouble finding car parking handy, couldn’t even get in until eventually contacting a lovely young Dutch backpacker who met us there and we gained enter to a deserted dusty very unloved old cold and dark house. We had booked a BnB but there was no breakfast or the means of making one. Very dispiriting to say the least especially at the start of a 3 week tour of beautiful Tasmania

The room was comfortable and location great
Some things to improve:
- no body soap/wash was given in toiletries
- the tea and coffee station in the common area was not maintained well between days (no clean cups, dirty cups still there, no water in the kettle)
-check in: wasnt the easiest i had to call for information (codes etc)

Quiet, friendly, comfortable and in town. Perfect for the budget conscious traveler who likes to stay in a charming, authentic and stately old hotel. It’s also a perfect choice for festival visitors who want to be within walking distance of CBD venues. I will be back.

I had a great stay here! Jake provided me with lots of helpful information, and when I had to change my booking he was very understanding and professional about it. It's a short walk from all the places I needed to be in Hobart and the room was very comfy. Would definitely stay again!

This accommodation did not measure up to the descriptions as we were led to believe. although situated in a very old historic home you stay in one bedroom with bathroom attached. there are approximately 20 stairs to the front of the building and eight at the rear of the building which are extremely difficult to access. The 4 brass bed was uncomfortable and the room was squashy. The old furniture was not accommodating and kitchen utensils were limited. I think it was expected that we would purchase the breakfast component.

Lovely room and convict built hotel. Arrived around 10:00PM. GLAD we had internet access to get directions to get entry keys and directions to our room
Place could use a little TLC. Very convenient to local restaurants and wharf
