My friend and I were passing through and needed something at the last minute. We were so happy to find this deal. We each got our own space and own beds. The place was very clean and quiet, and it was neat to be near a forested area. There's no TV or microwave, but there is a full-size fridge, full bathroom, AC.

The hotel is showing its age and is very apparent once you get past the lobby. Smells musty. Clumps of hair on pool area floor, laundry machines dirty, pool toilet not working properly. Guests were drinking outside the back door all night into the morning when we left at 6:00am which made for a night full of banging the back door. Room was clean but small and dated. I feel with proper cleaning procedures and some minor cosmetic updates the property could be much better. Staff was friendly. For the price without breakfast included, we wouldn’t stay again.

First a shout out to Cassidy on the reception both evenings of our stay. She could not have been more helpful and responsive. Our room was fine. There was a little street noise through the night from Hwy 17. Breakfast was good. But the crazy thing was the snowmobilers. They had completely taken over the hotel parking lot with huge trucks each pulling a large trailer and then rather than park their snow machines inside their trailers (in which they had originally been transported) the snow machines themselves were parked in the remaining parking spots. So most of the guests had to park in a Home Depot parking lot some distance away requiring a trek on the road and through the snow -- there were no side walks. I spoke with the hotel manager about this issue before leaving. He apologized but did not really offer any hope of the situation changing or being fixed. Recommendation: unless you are into winter hiking at all hours, do not use this hotel in snow season. Or at least call ahead before you make your reservation and ask if the snowmobile crowd are likely to be there at the time of your visit. If yes, there are lots of other hotels in North Bay.

We used Expedia to book our room and decided to pay a bit extra to get a King size bed. Once we checked in and got to our room it was a room with 2queen size beds. We called down to the lobby and they told us that the manager had to change our room last minute. It would have been nice to get a heads up? As we wanted a king bed to enjoy a couples weekend and could have chosen to stay at a different hotel that would accommodate. Unfortunately the rest of the hotel was booked as well as other rooms in the area. The lady at the front desk was extremely friendly and kind and apologetic. She told us that our 2 Queen beds room was actually a more expensive room than having a king bed room. Which was odd because we specifically decided to spend more to get the king room. The lady at the front desk stated that we would be charged the lesser value room on our bill. The service was great, location was close to beach and the room was clean, the breakfast was decent and we were able to enjoy our night regardless but We just felt it was inconsiderate for the manager to not notify us that our room was being changed leaving us with no resort but to accept the room or sleep in our car.
