Reading with interest some negative reviews ( carpet too thick, not enough choice on breakfast bar) I was in town for a high school provincial curling championship and booked a room at the team hotel. The location was good for us because we had games in North Bay and in Sturgeon Falls. Reception was friendly and efficient. The lobby had a nice ambiance with attractive fireplace and decor. The breakfast bar had ample choice in 3 sections. One included make your own waffles with table syrup, scrambled eggs, grated cheese, mini cheese omelets, vegan sausage patties, and peameal bacon. A 2nd had yogurt, hard boiled eggs, bananas, grapes, apples and 3 cereals. The 3rd had various grains- a crockpot of oatmeal porridge, bagels , multi grain bread, English muffins, banana bread and a variety of spreads. Coffee is always available. Breakfast was available 6:30- 9am but the staff started setting things out early to accommodate our schedule. They were constantly checking and cleaning! Can’t imagine what more they could offer! My room was quiet, immaculate and bright, the bed was comfortable, the walk in shower was large , the water was hot, the sundries were in large accessible pump bottles. The frig is very small. Our team, coaches and a couple of parents had to extend their stay to cover finals and they were accommodated with ease. We all had a great experience and would definitely return

the location is great for us, no traffic noise, close enough restaurants and the breakfast was good and love the latter check out. the only thing that could improve is the noise from the flag pole out front. it was windy the night of our stay and the flag weight was bangging on the pole. the weight could be wrapped in rubber to eliminate the noise.

The hotel is showing its age and is very apparent once you get past the lobby. Smells musty. Clumps of hair on pool area floor, laundry machines dirty, pool toilet not working properly. Guests were drinking outside the back door all night into the morning when we left at 6:00am which made for a night full of banging the back door. Room was clean but small and dated. I feel with proper cleaning procedures and some minor cosmetic updates the property could be much better. Staff was friendly. For the price without breakfast included, we wouldn’t stay again.

First a shout out to Cassidy on the reception both evenings of our stay. She could not have been more helpful and responsive. Our room was fine. There was a little street noise through the night from Hwy 17. Breakfast was good. But the crazy thing was the snowmobilers. They had completely taken over the hotel parking lot with huge trucks each pulling a large trailer and then rather than park their snow machines inside their trailers (in which they had originally been transported) the snow machines themselves were parked in the remaining parking spots. So most of the guests had to park in a Home Depot parking lot some distance away requiring a trek on the road and through the snow -- there were no side walks. I spoke with the hotel manager about this issue before leaving. He apologized but did not really offer any hope of the situation changing or being fixed. Recommendation: unless you are into winter hiking at all hours, do not use this hotel in snow season. Or at least call ahead before you make your reservation and ask if the snowmobile crowd are likely to be there at the time of your visit. If yes, there are lots of other hotels in North Bay.

We rented a beautiful king suite. It had a beautiful patio, four post comfortable king bed, jacuzzi tub with lots of hot water, coffee bar, and living room area. We enjoyed the restaurant on resort. The food was delicious and decently priced. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a continental breakfast and the rates were great. Would definitely come back again.
