This house is located in Sao Pedro Nordestinho, in the northeast part of Sao Miguel Island, the Azores. This traditional basalt stone house was built in the 20th century with the traditional architecture of the area which was maintained. A contemporary additional part was added on in order to give it a covered outside living area. It has a large glazed area from where it is possible to admire the well cared garden and the ocean. At night fall you can enjoy a beautiful scenery, making this spot a little secret in this pleasant cottage rental. There is also a barbecue in this area. The welcoming interior decoration with shades of blue, contrasts the pale colours of the walls and the basalt stones. Pieces of traditional furniture in harmony with other modern pieces create a very comfortable and cosy atmosphere in this luxurious eco-friendly holiday cottage. A double room, a living room with a wood heater for the coldest days, a modern kitchen containing a traditional wood oven and a bathroom, make up the inside of this cottage rental, where noting has been forgotten for the daily use of the guests and where these can feel “at home far from home”.
