After we checked in we went right up to the room before bring our bags in, when we got to the room the door was not secure, just resting on the door jam, so that did not make me feel good. We sat in the room for a couple minutes and could here loud banging, and what seemed to be drilling, we decide, after this continue the whole 20 minutes that we sat there trying to debate whether we should go ask for a different room, my boyfriend when down to tell the front desk about a the noise and see if we could get another room, the young man at the front desk stated that they were renovating the room above us and the work would stop at 5:30 and resume the next day from 230:pm until 6:30pm, we decided/were forced to except that since it was 4:30 we could deal with another hour of noise as we were going to go get dinner around 6/6:30 the front desk clerk did not offer another room to us or really any solution. 5:30pm comes and we figured okay we can have an hour of quite before we go to dinner, NOPE more pounding only quietly so they must have told them, this continue until we left for dinner at 6:30pm. After we got back from dinner I started looking around harder at the room and there was hairs in the shower, stuff running down the door the the bathroom, smears of white on the pull out handles for the counter, debris on the floor, I will include pictures. Also we have stayed at Hampton Inn alot we really like them that is why we chose this hotel but this one needs to raise the bar the "free wifi" requires you to down load an app and the instructions are not even clear on what else you need to do the other hotel we have stayed at just have you put you name and room number in and you good, never saw the cookies that were supposed to be offer and the breakfast was lacking orange juice machine broken, no options we had a beautiful breakfast at the Hampton Inn in Morgantown and a wonderful stay there. Also not to mention the room we were given was right by the elevator and seem just like a room the made out of a utility closet. The ice machine was broken on our floor with a sign to use machined on other floor they didn't bother to note there was no machine on the 3rd floor so had to go to the 4th floor. So the next more the pounding and drilling begin again, yes in the morning at 7am, but we were told they would be working from 2pm till 6pm that day, thankfully we were gone for most of the day but why would you sale a room that you know has construction going on above it and also not offer a resultion, ridiculous!!!!! Will not be staying here again and might not stay at Hampton Inn anymore.
