Here are my reviews for turi beach resort, as my first time solo travellers. The locals are nice, the location is good too. With welcome drinks once you check in the hotel( which i did not drink as i was busy checking in but looks delicious 🤤). It was good to unwind, to relax your mental health. The staff gave me a nice room which made me more appreciated. The only thing I'm not okay with is there is no lotion in the room which makes me a little bit sad as i expected to have one. But the overall experience is good. I love the place and the staff are friendliness. I also love the sunset and sunrise . Especially at the island bar restaurant.I will definitely come back there

view was great, it’s the kind of view that you wish to wake up to every morning. private pool and the place was overall quite clean as well. buffet breakfast has a wide spread of cuisine and food (mostly local food though). the only downside is the location and the security. since the place is very far off from the city, if you were to go back late at night, the road to montigo is super dark, no street lights at all so i would recommend going back early. finding a grab to the city was always relatively hard, took quite some time. the main door of the villa is see through and not really secure so just lock your bedrooms at night :)

Batam View Beach Resort was recently refurbished, so hallways and rooms have an updated look with dark wood hues giving it a bit of modernness. The building has also been given a fresh cost of white paint, giving it a fresh feeling. The gaudy light signboard no longer adorns the main entrance. Despite the updates, the property occasionally exudes tiredness: the signage at the entrance is really dated and when we first saw it, we had some apprehension on how the experience would be (think wildness school camping). But our fears were unfounded as the entered the property: it was clean and modern enough for a comfortable stay. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a welcome drink. It was a refreshing welcoming from the warm weather outside. The chairs in the restaurant were tired and the chairs were sunken a little uncomfortable to sit. It would have been if they could be updated for a more comfortable experience. Now on to the food, we had lunch, breakfast and dinner at the restaurant. Lunch was pretty standard but nothing to shout about. There was rice, soup, noodle and other sides, fruits and desserts that while palatable, again were nothing to rave about. During lunch, the only weird encounter I had was with the chocolate jelly; chocolate does not do well in a jelly. Breakfast was buffet style. The staff at the entrance will ask for your room number before being let in for breakfast. It was a fuss free experience. The buffet breakfast had typical fare such as rice, noodles, porridge, bread, cereal and an egg station with the usual fare you see at breakfast. There’s a kelong within the property which serves up pretty decent seafood if you want something nearby and do not want to travel out. For dinner, as it was a team event, they set the area near the pool to be an open space buffet for dinner with a stage for the activities. While the experience was good and fun (food again was average), I cannot imagine the noise pollution for the other guests staying on the property. The party went on to the night at about 10pm, and I spotted a couple of guests coming out of their rooms to see what was happening. So, if you are staying here for leisure, something to take note of. They have a little pet / animal corner which I wanted to check out but had not time to do so We had a room on the second floor. The hallway was brightly lit and due to the recent refurbishment, it was a pleasant environment. Upon entering the room, we were greeted with a clean room with 2 beds. There was ample of space to hang clothes and a luggage space for 2 medium luggage. The closet was open, basically just a pole above the luggage space with about 6 hangers provided. Housekeeping was good, but not excellent as there a strand of long hair in one of the pillow cases, and there was a little bit of dust on the shelves. Here annually, because of its superb location - near a large mall, near several massage centres (my perennial favourite being Thai best), near several excellent food places (must check out Mickey Mouse 66, as well as the coffee shops in its vicinity), near several wholesale shops but they do sell individual items (fantastic branded knock-offs at fantastic prices). As for the hotel itself, rooms are large; with basic amenities and free mineral water. Concierge is reliably helpful, friendly and efficient. Receptionists (same air of sulkiness, whoever is manning the station, whatever time) and buffet breakfasts (why eat here when there are superb choices nearby) are consistently below average, whether the hotel was “Gideon” or is “Gideon by Aston”.

My partner booked a standard room for my birthday. The room was on the 12th floor with harbour view (room 1231). The hotel building is 13 floors with the lounge on the top floor. The room came with king sized bed with bay window seats, the bathroom had a bath tub and a separate shower room. Plus point for ladies, powerful hairdryer! Love that there was a day curtain (manual) and blackout curtain (automatic with switch) to adjust natural light coming into the room. The staff throughout the hotel was polite and helpful. The pool + swirl pool + kids pool is on the 5th floor overlooking the sea. The gym (24 hours) and spa (was advised by the spa staff they opens 10am to 10pm daily) is also on the 5th floor, easily accessible from the lift lobby. The gym is well equipped with 3 treadmills, 2 elliptical, 3 stationary bikes, 2 free weight benches and some machines. The pool is clean (my stay was on weekdays) 25m in length at its longest length. Decent for laps. Great views overlooking the sea. The the whirlpool at the side is a plus point. Level 2 of the hotel connects to the adjacent Bayfront mall. The restaurants at the promenade are accessible from level 1 of the hotel lobby. There are a lot of food choices, mostly seafood restaurants. Also a hotpot restaurant. Only disappointment was the spa (Quan Spa). Went for the Quan Day Ritual for Two (2.5 hours) which included stone massage, ear candling, coffee body scrub and mask (plus V-spa Retus for ladies) for Rp 2,000,000 before taxes (with taxes was about Rp 4,000,000 = SGD 400). Quality of masseurs was poor (massage techniques, temp of the hot stones), inattentive service, unclear instructions (possible due to language; masseurs speaking simple English). Wasn’t told about the start of the mask, only to realized we had to rest for 15 mins for the masking process. Also insufficient information given for V-Spa Retus which was done near the end of spa session. Quite disappointing given the price point.

Sahid Batam Center Hotel & Convention is having a good advantage on location, located in the heart of Batam Center, where luxury and homey abound. It is an old hotel, but it is well maintained and it is connected to a modern life style, near local culinary and having a good entertainment with roof top bar. The staffs are giving a good hospitality and helpful. Sahid Batam Center hotel could fit for business and personal use. Over all, Sahid Batam Center Hotel & Convention is a good hotel to stay. Staff is very friendly. They gave us a connecting room even though we only booked a normal room. Hotel is quite old, and some of the facilities are quite worn out. But overall is still good for this price point. Location is good too. Walked straight out and you can locate numerous restaurants.

Me and my family had the chance to stay at Aston Nagoya Hotel. We got check in process was super fast and seamless. We were assigned to a room on the 13th floor and oh boy.. what a nice room. It has the best city view of batam, in the night we can see the lighting of batam. Nearest from food court and shopping mall. All the staff very great service from the security, reception and resto staff. They did a very good job in providing an excellent service. Last but not least, special thank you to the Duty Manager, Mr. Randi who made our stay very memorable. He was very kind and attentive to all our needs throughout the stay. Thumbs up for his great job and effort to make our stay enjoyable. He is a great asset to this company. Definitely will stay here again and highly recommended hotel in Batam!

Room is very clean and spacious. Service is great too. Realised the kettle is not working well, requested for it to be changed and it was quick response. Had the complimentary shuttle service at 11am and 5pm to Nagoya Hill Shopping centre and Grand Batam Mall. There is only indomart nearby. You have to take grab out but that’s not an issue as it’s very cheap. But sad to say that the lounge and rooftop bar are very quiet. No one at all. Other than that, experience there was awesome!

Good business hotel laying in the heart of Batam Centre. Room is clean and the closets smell like new. Toilet have integrated bidet and is, as well as the shower, well maintained. Breakfast is nice with a various choice of local and western meals. Served by motivated personell who will help you when you need them. The reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because I feel that the price / quality is not really correct. In my opinion the price is too high especially when you have to pay extra for breakfast. If you're a businessman this will be the perfect hotel to stay for you. For leisure it's also a good hotel, but there are other hotels over there who will offer you enough for 50% of the price I paid for this hotel.
