Roch Castle

Of all the accommodations we booked for this vacation, this is the one that we were anticipating the most and we were not disappointed. What a great experience. The hotel lives up to all the 5-star reviews. Our room (we stayed in the Ab Gryuffydd) was immaculate, comfortable, luxurious, and most of all unique. Even though the weather didn't cooperate as much as we would've liked (this is Western Wales after all, so...rain, fog, and mist are common), our views towards Newgale and the coast were still fantastic. The full Welsh breakfast, cooked to order was the best I've had on the trip. My wife had the poached eggs and bacon and were also very good. They offer a variety of other options for breakfast, included salmon and eggs (my choice for tomorrow morning. The common areas are fantastic, with a large living room area and glass-enclosed lounging/dining area on the second level. The hotel offers an honor bar with an assortment of liquors, wines, and beers. But, most of all, the coolest thing was that we got to stay in a 12th century Norman castle in total style and comfort. It was definitely worth the extra expense and I would recommend this experience to anyone coming to the Pembroke Coast/St. David's area.

The staff are attentive, friendly, gracious, helpful and just lovely. The castle is breathtaking. The rooms are well appointed and the common area is comfortable. The wall walk offers great views to take in the Pembrokeshire coast and wind. We would love to come again with a group of friends or family.

Not only is the castle outstanding beautiful on the outside but the internal renovation is stunning. The very highest spec used in all elements of it. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fantastic both the regular and veggie. Would highly recommend staying for a minimum of two nights to really make the most out of it.

When I sent friends a photo of the Castle from the outside, they replied, "Oh, wow!" That's the best response to this 5* B&B Guesthouse. Perched on a hill, the views are amazing. Inside the Castle is finished to the highest standards. The service is excellent and inside it is so peaceful and relaxing. Do take small suitcases: it's a medieval castle and the spiral staircase is narrowish.

Amazing location and superb staff. Room was very comfortable, clean and large. Breakfast was excellent and enough to choose from. Location is a good basis to explore Pembrokeshire. If you want to feel special, this is the one you need to stay.

My wife was blown away with her 60th birthday surprise accommodation - what a privilege to stay in such a stunning ancient building. It has been a very well thought out restoration keeping many of the historic features. Its walls could tell a few tales! Both staff and food were fantastic and we were thoroughly looked after which made my wife’s special birthday an unforgettable experience. Would highly recommend. I booked the castle out for exclusive use. Me and my friends were blown away. We stayed for two nights. The staff were so kind, helpful and knowledgeable while booking and signing us in. Having the castle to ourselves made us all feel very royal. All the rooms are of top quality and so well presented. All the stairs keep you very fit, but walking up every step is worth it. I don't think I could have had a better party. We had a silent disco Saturday night. I highly recommend doing this, as you're not allowed loud music because of the neighbours. I would love to go back. Highly recommended.

Best lodging experience I have ever had! If you want to travel back in time, to imagine medieval live (with exceptional modern amenities, look no further! When you book a room at Roch Castle, you book an entire experience. You will be treated as royalty and will really feel you are transcending in a different existence.

A superb stay, we could not fault our experience. I booked this stay as a surprise for my partners 40th, and we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were polite, helpful and welcoming. The room had some wonderful surprises for my partner which included a card, truffles, champagne and petals. Grace was extremely helpful with organising some balloons for the room and the room was prepped to perfection. The breakfast options were also great, which included freshly baked croissants. Thank you for the amazing stay and we hope to return again.
