Not our first visit to the Restaurant at Merker’s Hotel, and definitely not the last one. My wife and I both had the Carpaccio followed by Viennese Schnitzel in my case, whilst my wife had the Argentinian Steak. All the dishes were excellent. The Schnitzel was great : crispy coating and tender meat. The steak was grilled perfectly medium as requested and extremely tasty. The service was very attentive and the prices absolutely in order for the quality on offer. Highly recommended and we will be returning next time we are in Nohfelden.

This family owned restaurant has everything one could want; very friendly staff, nice menu card (be prepared for some meats like deer, but also schnitzel and terrific curry würst with homemade curry sauce). The staff also knows how to handle a group with kids. Can highly recommend eating here!

I looked for a hotel close to the Bostalsee for a few days of water sports with my son. The Merker’s was convenient and a good price. The room was very clean and quiet. The common areas are well renovated. The restaurant is a wonderful surprise! It is at a much higher level than I had expected in a small hotel, with inventive, delicious versions of German classics like schnitzel, tafelspitz and currywurst. The wines are excellent. Prices are quite good. Henriette runs the hotel with a friendly spirit along with her husband, who leads the kitchen. The staff is very friendly.

Hotel im Stil der 80er Jahre, verschachtelt, Zimmer sind ok, Dusche gut, Betten auch gut. Frühstück auch in ordnung. Essen im Restaurant ok bis gut. Der Pfiff fehlt aber beim Hotel , alles etwas verschachtelt. Preis/Leistung auch in Ordnung, aber nicht kulant bei stornierung

Etwas in die Jahre gekommenes Ambiente. Mehr Schein als Sein. Das Essen lauwarm, kaum gewürzt, das Fleisch fade, das Schnitzel aus der Friteuse und die Sosse aus der Tüte. Aber preislich gehoben. Geht woanders besser.

Wir waren mit der Familie (5 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder 2+4) im Restaurant des Hotels essen. Man hat sehr auf die Kinder geachtet, die Bedienung war freundlich und das Essen sehr sehr lecker. Wir kommen gerne wieder

Ich war Anfang September mit einer Freundin auf de r Terrasse essen ( die einzigen Gäste). Eine Kellnerin brachte uns den bestellten Cremant und ich bat um einen Aschenbecher.Die Chefin brachte uns das Getränk mit Baby vor dem Bauch in einer sehr ,schmuddeliger,einer Chefin nicht würdigen Kleidung.Sie verneinte den Aschenbecher mit Hinblick auf das Baby.Ich bestellte ein Cordon bleu mit Bratkartoffeln . Meine Freundin eine Hähnchen Brust,anstatt mit Reis , auch mit Bratkartoffeln . Das en wurde verneint mit der Aussage, die Küche seit zu wenig besetzt???????Frage: Mikrowelle?Dabei stand Ihr Mann, der Chefkoch, bereits an der Theke!!Wir bedankten uns, zahlten über 17 Euro und verließen das Lokal.Meine Freundin,die mit ihrem Lebensgefährten früher sehr häufig das Lokal besuchte, erklärte mir“ das wäre bei den „ alten „ Merkers“ nicht passiert.“ Krieg zwischen Jung und Alt“?????
