Excellent - punching well above its 3 star rating weight. All staff very very helpful and kind - drying wet clothing assisting with lots of luggage without being asked etc etc. Restaurant food was really good exceptional quality taste and presentation way above what you’d expect. Rooms tasteful and quiet and very well equipped with lovely bath robes and plenty of soft large towels. Great find and we’re glad we found it.

Madame v solicitous. Showed us to room and where everything was. We stayed in a superior double room which was as well equipped as a 5 star hotel with robes, tissues, shower cap, kettle etc. We were given fresh milk for tea (we’d bought our own English breakfast tea!) Bed v comfortable. Our room was quiet even though there was a music festival in the town. Restaurant a lovely surprise. Excellent service. Meal good with an interesting menu. Buffalo cheese foam and tomatoes. Chicken stuffed with chorizo. Dessert of red fruits with sprinkling of crumble so not too heavy. Lovely champagne and local white wine. Breakfast magnificent. Madame brought us boiling water for our tea and again showed us the wonderful breakfast spread: croissants, French bread, home made jams, home made yoghourt (creamy and delicious with the jam!), home made cake, ham, cheese, fruit salad. A lovely hotel.

Nice and cosy Really tired after a day on the road this was a very good place to rest. Quiet, good rooms, nice dinner restaurant. The breakfast deserves a special mention, lots of fantastic home made stuff. I can definitely recommend it, now fully rested ready for a new day on the road.

Nous avons fait une réunion de famille au restaurant des remparts, bonne cuisine française , le paleron était fameux et l'idéal chaumontais... Idéal ! les excellents vins. Le service est à l'écoute et discret, les prix très corrects. Nous avons passé une excellente soirée... Merci les remparts !

On aimerait pouvoir bénéficier partout en France du même excellent rapport qualité prix d’hôtellerie, hélas ce n’est pas toujours le cas : chambres rénovées avec goût et matériaux de qualité, impeccablement tenues, très bien équipées pour la catégorie la plus élevée (serviettes à main, peignoir…). Très calme. Accueil charmant. Petit déjeuner exceptionnel avec des yaourts et de la confiture maison et un choix de mets incroyable pour ce niveau de prix. A mon avis c’est le meilleur hôtel de la ville.

Personnel très chaleureux, cuisine très agréable, mais chambre inconfortable. La climatisation fait un bruit de Vmc toute la nuit même éteinte, très gênant pour dormir. La réflexion du patron m’invitant à prendre une chambre « luxe » plutôt que confort et me proposant comme seule solution de me fournir des boules quies est plutôt malheureuse.

Un hôtel qui donne envie de faire une halte à Chaumont : un personnel très gentil, chambres propres et lits confortables, du charme et du cachet loin des hotels de marque standard, proche de la gare et du centre ville. Et pour agrémenter le tout, un petit déjeuner maison en partie et un excellent restaurant très chic ! Que demander de mieux ?

J’y suis arrivé un peu tardivement, on m’a encore servi un bon dîner, sans stress. Le couscous accompagné d’un vin local m’ont ravi. Le cadre pittoresque et l’accueil du jeune patron, qui m’a proposé une chambre (16) très confortable (lit « King Size » ), valent bien la halte qui est de très bon rapport qualité-prix. Encore Merci pour la place de parking dans la cour.

Excellente adresse. Accueil charmant, chambres confortables, SDB très bien. Très bon repas le soir au restaurant de l’hôtel ; cuisine savoureuse et très bon service attentionné. Petit déjeuner parfait, avec des produits frais (délicieuse salade de fruits maison)
