Abate Masseria & Resort

Staying in a trullo was the highlight. We stayed 3 nights at this amazing place which was part of our cycling holiday booked with inn travel. The hostess, Christina and her colleague, Angelica go out of their way to ensure everything is perfect. They recommended amazing restaurants in Noci and places to visit (including Monopoli and Polignano a mare). The service goes above and beyond.

We booked this resort with another couple because we wanted to travel around the area. What a beautiful place! The owners were waiting to welcome us and our rooms were gorgeous. My husband and I also had a small twin bedroom attached to our main bedroom, and we used it to spread out our suitcases, etc, though there was plenty of closet space in the main room. We were lucky with the weather and used the AC at night, which was easy to operate and functioned perfectly. The shower was great with very good water pressure and I always love having a robe and slippers, both of which I used. Both nights we asked the owners to help us, first with a recommendation for dinner reservation in Noci, 5-10 minutes away by car. Easy in the daytime, but we wanted to enjoy the wine and not worry about getting lost so they drove us and picked us up for a very reasonable charge. The name of the restaurant is L'Antica Locanda - it had a wonderful tasting menu for 40 euro, with 9 euro bottles of great house wine. So much food! The next night we wanted to do a cooking class and again it was arranged very easily and professionally for us, this time we were picked up and driven back by the cooking class owner (Anna, whose business is called Anna The Nice). We highly highly recommend this class, which was tailored to our schedule and our cooking interests. Thanks Cristina and Angelia for arranging this for us! Breakfast at the restaurant was delicious, full of traditional Italian foods as well as American favorites. Coffee was made to order - we're very picky coffee drinkers and it was delicious. Service was great, professional and friendly. We only wish we could have experienced dinner at the restaurant at Abate Masseria, but we knew it was likely closed in October. The pool was lovely and we sat out for relaxation since we didn't bring suits. Finally, the location was great for day trips to Noci, Monopoli, Alberobello and Ostuni. We had a car so it was fairly easy with. I'd recommend using google maps and map out a parking place so you don't aimlessly drive around looking for parking. I highly recommend this resort - the owners bent over backward to ensure a great experience. Sleeping in a Trullo was a once in a lifetime experience. Thank you so much for the memories!

This Masseria is an excellent place to recharge ! Service is a 5 stars with Cristina and Angelica, they facilitate you stay and offer help for everything (rental car, taxi, lunch preparation, restaurant…). Efficient and warm, the perfect combo. Breakfast and lunch food is just excellent! Rooms are cosy, we could have the charming Trulli which offers an authentic experience. Simple room are also really good. An authentic and intimate place with a limited number of room to fully disconnect and recharge. We will come back!

We returned here after 7 years to be welcomed by our friends Christina, Angelica and Mino ,what a joy to see them again . This was a relaxation break before travelling on to our son's wedding nearby. What can I say other than the stay was perfect, nothing too much trouble and it was every bit as good and even better than our first stay. There are some people that make life a joy to be with and the team here are wonderful ,helpful and friendly. Thanks for a wonderful experience and hope we don't leave it another 7 years before returning. We had two very good meals one at the restaurant on site and another in Noci . This Masseria is a tranquil oasis to relax and recharge your batteries.

Cristina and Angelica were so warm and looked after us so well that they felt like our nonnas! They helped me to devise an itinerary for our stay including restaurants and a beach day (some of the tasting menus were unreal!). They made us delicious negronis by the pool everyday (which were very strong!) and ice creams were always on hand for my daughter. Abate has amazing old trulli buildings, gardens and planting and is brimming with beautiful butterflies and swallows. Abate was great value for money and I wouldn’t have changed anything about the experience!

Very beautiful place in quiet location. Very convenient as close to Alberobello. People working there were very nice and helpful. We stayed in a troli, was perfect for 2 adults and 2 kids. Spacious and clean.
