Hotels Near Piazza del Corso - Monumenti funerari in Nocera Inferiore

We stayed here for 10 nights at the end of October/November time. There had been lots of changes with air travel but the hotel accommodated everything for us. We had a suite for the full 10 nights which we can recommend, very comfortable and enough space to move around in when staying for a while. The balcony overlooked the valleys and hills in the distance, and the hotel gardens which are spacious and well kept. Rooms were serviced when requested, and the minibar/fridge was a welcome addition to our comfort. We had a hire car which we were able to park securely at the bottom of the hill from the hotel, less than 5 minutes walk away. There is a little shop you can pop into on the way to/from the car park which is run by a charming man who will provide sandwiches, lunch items, etc if you want them, as well as other everyday items. Breakfast at the hotel is included, and of a high standard. The restaurant serves high quality food from a small but acceptable menu, and as we were staying for a while we found them very accommodating for making things for us that weren’t on the menu, or changing menu items to our taste (eg no nuts, etc). The food appeared fresh and was cooked and served with care and with friendly and professional service. The chef regularly sent us free appetisers of a high quality too. We were even treated to some wine lessons and recommendations by our knowledgeable host, which was really nice and welcomed by us. The bar was well stocked, and snacks were served with our aperitif every time, sometimes hot from the kitchen and other times nibbles from the local area. We went to a local restaurant (La Foce) a few times too for a bit of variety, and had no problems there or with the hotel doing this. The other restaurant is about 15/20 mins walk away up hill, but downhill coming back! It seems hotel guests often go there, and they looked after us very well too. The reception staff were very helpful and knowledgeable and gave us some welcome suggestions for things to do, including providing info on the best way to travel the fairly nearby Amalfi Coast by ferry. We had a really nice stay and were able to really relax after the trials and tribulations of the previous year and a half due to covid. We felt safe at this hotel too, and they were well aware of safety measures to reduce any risks for guests and staff. We can wholeheartedly recommend this venue for a relaxing stay with access to the local area. We found it useful to have a car, although there is a regular local bus service too for guests who want to use public transport. This makes the hotel more accessible to all guests even though it is high up on a hill, the views are breathtaking though and make up for needing to travel to get to other areas. It was a wonderful base for us and we will definitely try to go back again. All credit to a wonderful location and to the amazing staff who were always willing to go that extra mile to care for us. We stayed for 17 nights at the Hotel Residence San Pietro and were very satisfied with the stay. The hotel is conveniently located away from the heavily trafficked coastal road, but still close to good restaurants and shopping. We stayed in the newer part of the hotel which was nicely decorated, clean and well maintained. Our superior room with a balcony had a good size, with minibar, two chairs, a table and a large wardrobe and a large bathroom with a large shower cabin. As there are no carpets in either the corridors or the rooms, which is positive for cleaning and hygiene, it means some noise from the corridors, especially when some guests are talking recklessly loudly late at night and slam the doors instead of closing them. But I guess you can't have it all! The staff were friendly and very accommodating when we had questions. Breakfast was good with a large selection and we had a table reserved for our room every morning, so no worries about waiting for a table. The restaurant does not serve meals other than breakfast The pool area is nice and well maintained, with good sunbeds and umbrellas and you will be given a clean pool towel every day. In the pool bar you can buy drinks and snacks all day and a light lunch for two hours in the middle of the day. The only irritating thing for an older couple was when there were music played with a monotonous bass rhythm, which was annoying all the way up to the balcony and the room. We pointed it out a few times but it happened almost every day, so the staff must believe that this is what most guests want. There is free and stable wi-fi throughout the hotel, including in the pool area. All in all, a positive stay at Hotel Residence San Pietro which can be recommended.

Booked the panoramic studio. The view from the balcony was magnificent! Fully equipped kitchenette allowed me to cook on a rainy day. Sunset and sunrise from the balcony was spectacular.

The hotel is nicely located in the center of town and next to a pharmacy which makes it nice to get around. There are lots of food choices, but just know that most establishments do not serve dinner until 7:00 pm. The front desk staff are very unprofessional and the least helpful people we found in Italy. Beware of the lady with short dark hair as she is not helpful! The fifth floor banquet facility is beautiful but beware of the bees and pigeons that land on your food. The wait staff upstairs are very nice though! The Buffet itself is nice with fresh fruit assorted fruits and pastries. Eggs are runny with lots of milk added which I didn’t care for so much. Breakfast should start at 7:00 am as most tour groups need to be out the door by 7:30. Beware of the shower. Make sure the shower head is pointed downward otherwise you will flood your floor which happened on the first night!! The water view is the selling feature but, our crew were not impressed! My husband works in the hotel business and customer service should be top and foremost! This hotel does not have it!!

Siamo stati per due notti, prenotando in questa struttura, presso il palazzo Balsamo con colazione in terrazza. La stanza molto ampia e pulita ma carente di armadio, sostituito da un appendiabiti senza cassetti e nel bagno nessun gancio appendi asciugamani vicino ai sanitari e alla doccia. Colazione discreta e ampio parcheggio nel cortile dell'hotel che è a pochi passi sia dal Santuario che all'ingresso degli scavi.

Myself and my boyfriend stayed at Hotel Residence for 10 days and we would definitely come back if we are ever traveling to the Amalfi coast again. Room - The room was great, however, this is the only area where, if I would ask for anything to be improved, it would be this. When we first checked in we were given the wrong room as we requested a room with a bath tub. This was a honest mistake by the staff and we were given the room we asked for the next day. However, the air con system was broken in the room. We complained about this and was assured a maintenance man would be sent to fix it the following day. In the meantime we were given another room for the night which had air con. When the air con was fixed in our original room it then broke again which meant the hotel provided us with fans and replaced the whole unit itself. Once this was done it worked perfectly, but obviously the constant moving about and heat was a little frustrating. The hotel compensated us for this inconvenience and we were very grateful for their generosity. The room itself was beautiful. The bath tub with jets was great but very powerful! The curtains completely blocked out any sun and the room was cleaned every day. The balcony was lovely for picture taking and people watching. Location - the location of the hotel is absolutely perfect. Right in the hussle and bussle of the town. The bus stop to Ravello is literally opposite the hotel and the stop for Positano and Sorrento is a little further down. The shop to buy the tickets for the bus is conveniently next door to the hotel which is also where we brought snacks and drinks. Service - the service in the hotel is absolutely superb. Every member of staff is so polite and helpful. The only thing they ask is no hot food being brought inside the hotel and that you leave your key at reception whenever you go out which was no bother to us. My boyfriend actually proposed to me on the trip and he organized a bottle of Prosecco and a fruit bowl to be in the room the night of the proposal. The hotel staff also gave us a bottle of Prosecco when we had issues with the air con which was very generous. They also helped us find out how to buy bus and ferry tickets when we asked. Breakfast - lastly the breakfast. Breakfast was included in our stay however we did not have any other meal at the hotel like the dinner as it was quite expensive for us and not what we preferred to eat. There’s lot of great alternatives in the amalfi town instead. However, the breakfast was absolutely amazing. It’s served in the restaurant 7-10 each morning and you order from a slip what you would like. I had the English breakfast and occasionally the pancakes which were amazing! You’re also given croissants on the table and water and can order whichever hot drink you’d prefer. We really enjoyed the breakfast and thought the variety was great. Overall, we would definitely come back and we absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Residence!

Location is amazing. Within 1 minute you can reach to main square. Owner is very friendly and always available. About cleaning our room was clean but there was serious water blockage problem in the bathroom. First day it was in the bathtub. You have to wait almost more than a minute to flow the water completely from tub. Another day it was in wash basin. Water got block for almost few hours. We did not used wash basin that day. In the image you can see we have removed water stopper completely from basin. One bulb from bathroom was not working. I told them to change but it was the same till 4th day. If this is solved then the hotel is good.

The Hosts make your stay a lovely time. Signor Beppe makes sure you have an easy holiday. His advice is honest and caring. The views you can see in the gallery are truly breath-taking and you are one hour away from all the major places such as Amalfi, Positano, Minori and Sorrento. We swam in the four different beaches and had lunch there too. Even the village itself is lively for evenings out when you wish to stay around. That is why we chose to stay there. We have plans to return so as to visit even more sites. For instance the Ercolano is on the way to the airport and is well worth the visit - so next time we shall visit Pompeii. Vesuvius is also an hour away and we bought excellent Buffalo milk Limoncello there, a novelty to us. And what about Ravello, what a sweet town with winding narrow streets opening onto a lovely tree-shaded Piazza Centrale and the Duomo. And a day in Capri with a lovely boat ride from Amalfi as advised by Signor Beppe. We take this opportunity to thank the whole family. Please take their advice and phone ahead if you have difficulties for your best choices or itinerary. And please slow down to enjoy the Tyrrhenian Sea and its rhythms, soak in the culture and smell the wine and the roses.
