We have just come home after a week at the hotel and it is a decent 4 star inclusive hotel. Yes it has steps up and down to rooms, restaurant bar, pool and area near the water but this is not made a secret - it is part and parcel of hotel and any research/reviews are clear about this. This was not difficult for us and we are fairly ‘middle aged’ lol. We had a room in the block at the back of the hotel - Verena (hope I spelled that correctly) on the 5th floor - the view was spectacular! Room was lovely, beds comfy, shower great and cleaned every day. Nothing to complain about. Water in the room - there is a glass carafe in the room which you fill from water stations on each floor as many times as you need - I much prefer this as the hotel is clearly trying to reduce the use of single use plastic - good for them - it’s not a pain to do this and should be applauded. Food - despite some reviews the food was fine - plenty to choose from at every setting. Breakfast - cereal, fruit, yogurt, fresh juice, herbal teas, tea, coffee, milk and non dairy milk, pastries, eggs, bacon, tomatoes, omelette station, meats, cheeses etc. Lunch - salads, mixed salads, grilled meat, grilled fish, vegetable dishes, chips, meat and fish dishes, pasta dishes and pizza and lovely deserts. The same for dinner - if you can’t find something to eat to make a meal I would be really surprised to be honest. Again, the desserts are great . Bars - roof top bar is lovely but of course only open in good weather - great views. Pool bar and pool area- bar open most of the day, tables are close together and the loungers are close together around the pool area but it’s the space that they have. Beach area/platforms by the water - due to the weather whilst we were there, we only spent one day here - great views, with sun loungers and a beach bar. Great views from here. Indoor bar - there is a very small bar under the restaurant when the weather is bad, this is the only area that I would suggest try to improved on. It’s small the ambiance is a bit rubbish but I think that could be improved with more comfy seating (dependant on space) but certainly with better lighting, more subtle and not so bright and cold feeling. It would be nice if the hotel could have a more larger, indoor lounge/bar area that could be used to sit and chill during the day but also as a bar area in the evening but I can’t see where this could be done due to the footprint of the hotel and space available, unfortunately. Entertainment - didn’t take part in day time entertainment/activities so can’t comment. Evening - had the odd thing going off in the bar area but again didn’t take much notice as either went to rooftop bar or took a drink back to the room, which you can do every easily. Things to do - unfortunately we were limited due to the stormy weather as the boats didn’t run due to the weather but we took a boat taxi across to Herceg Novi when the weather was ok to do this and it’s worth doing this.
