I stayed at Guesthouse Nalu for six weeks from january 16 until february 25th 2023. The place has a great communal living area with a good kitchen and amenities. The owner and her husband and children live in the same building on the opposite site and they are very friendly and helpful. There are only six rooms but it is the best place to stay in Niseko if you don't want to spend a fortune but still want to be 3 minutes away from the best ski area Annupuri. It is absolutely value for money. Snowboarders and skiers from all over the world stay there. I will come back next year

各予約サイトのレビューを読んで、ホスピタリティーには期待できないだろうな、値段相応だから仕方ないと覚悟して行った。 その通りだった。 予約前の問い合わせ電話から応対したのは、このお家の母親と思しき女性だが、基本的に接客というものに関心がない。自分のお家(自宅兼ゲストハウスのようだ)のことが優先というムードを、遠慮なく醸し出してくる。 電話をかけると「はい」と答えたまま名乗らない。しばし無言の時間が流れ、こっちが〇〇さんですか？と聞いて初めて「はい、〇〇です」答える。 チェックインすると、部屋の番号を教えられ、鍵を渡される。以上。 説明が長いのもウザいが、ここまで何も話をしない主というのも珍しい。こちらから具体的に質問すれば答えてくれるが、向こうから気を利かせたり、コミュニケーションを図ったりすることはない。 山登りを控えてゆっくりしたいだけだから、それで大きな問題はない。しかし、最初から最後まで違和感を拭えなかった。安くて清潔で助かるけど、どんな思いでゲストハウスを始めたのか想像しづらい。リピートはないな......
