It was a nice relaxing break from noisy places. It was a comfortable, homy and welcoming place. Staff were great. Coffee and food can be a little better, but fruit and rice cakes made up for it. Bicycle access was great, and I was able to visit nearby places. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

The hotel is located in a remote place, only Hang Mua is within walking distance. You can take bicycles and go to Trang An Boat tpir. You can walk to restaurants, about 20 minutes.
The breakfast is modest, a good selection of fruits.
The biggest minus is that the room is poorly cleaned. The floors are dirty, in the bathroom, also dirty. The towels are already quite used. There are ants in the kettle, the kettle is old and rusty. The refrigerator is very loud, it is impossible to sleep at night. In January, the room is cold and dark.
A beautiful view from the additional room, in which it is impossible to stay, as there is a very strong draft from the window.
The staff is friendly.

The hotel is located in picturesque rice fields, which stand against the backdrop of mountains. The staff is very friendly, the hotel itself has a spa. We lived in a house number 10, its windows look out on both sides of the rice terraces.

Our stay here was incredible from check-in to check-out. We were greeted warmly the moment we arrived and felt very comfortable asking any questions and requesting any help. There was an unfortunate event that left me soaking wet and they helped with washing everything down to my shoes. And they did it with kindness and understanding. That kind of care and assistance is rare and it’s what makes ChezCao stand out from other places. I agree with past reviews commending the cleanliness, beautiful location, large and serene rooms, AMAZING staff, and food. Don’t miss out on this gem!!

It really doesn't get better than this in Ninh Binh or truthfully anywhere. This hotel gives you what many seek in a Vietnam countryside experience. You immediately relax, helped by the lovely pool and patio overlooking the rice fields. The staff is standing in wait for your drink order with fresh juice) or food order (everything was delicious). I'd recommend at least two nights here to give you time to enjoy the property.

The hotel grounds are gorgeous with a great pool. We liked the location amongst the beautiful rice fields. The hotel had bikes and we could bike to Trang An boat rides in 20 minutes. You could also easily get a grab but we biked everywhere which was very enjoyable. The rooms are quite large, well appointed and modern. The shower is a very awkward design ( an afterthought in the bathtub inserted on the side vs the end of the tub so it sprays water everywhere); however, the water was nice and hot and this was a minor thing but could be difficult for people with mobility issues. The rooms are individual cabins with air conditioning. The Breakfast buffet was good and we enjoyed dinner at the restaurant and it was excellent. The Spa massages were great and we appreciated their well priced laundry service.The staff were outstanding. Their English was excellent and they are so helpful. One of our favourite stays in Vietnam.
