Family-friendly Hotels in Ningbo

As a Golden circle member since 2003, I always love Shangrila. Very good location, big room size and most of all, outstanding service. The breakfast is also great, the gym is perfect too. But the changing room condition was below my expectations. Not clean and the facilities are too old. The TV in the room….. most hotels have internet TV these days even 4 stars but the TV is too old. It’s needed some upgrades.

Hotel is clean. The room is spacious. Front desk is friendly. The staffs greets you when you comes and goes. Price is decent since I'm paying USD. A little more compared in the area. The hotel shows it's age, including the rooms. I booked the King Bed room at around $100 USD a night. But I like it when they give you 4 pillows and 2 are memory foam pillows which I love. Unlimited bottle waters, they are placed everywhere in the hotel for you to grab. The breakfast has a wide variety. If you didn't book breakfast a day ahead it's 100RMB. If you tell them a day ahead that you'll be getting breakfast the next day, it's 50RMB per person. As I recall it was $13 more when I book my room with 2 breakfasts. I would stay here again.

Nice resort for families with lots of activities for the little ones. Highlight was the service and all staff were friendly especially Mona who also spoke English well and shared her wechat and checked with us everyday to ensure our stay was pleasant. Bon fire and fireworks for Chinese new year were an added bonus. Mona also helped us book a BBQ tent which was a nice experience by the lake. The play area is large and could use a facelift as some areas seem dated. Buffet breakfast was nice with the usual fare and a nice touch to give the kids a small gift when they clean their plates. Although it’s winter, the temperature was quite warm and the room AC could only be used as a heater which made the room too warm so we turned off the AC and left the windows open. Car parking was mostly full during the holidays but we managed to get a slot to charge the electric car. Overall a pleasant stay.

The hotel is in a good location, close to everything, and very clean. There is a large children's playground on the first floor. The parent-child room we booked has three 1.8-meter large beds, one of which has a door to separate them from each other. The room is large and well-equipped. There is a reading area and a play area on the 5th floor, as well as a separate washing machine and dryer. All the clothes were washed and dried on the same day, which was great. The bedding is very comfortable, the air conditioning is powerful, and the sleep is very quiet, which means that the sound insulation is good. There is a desk area for office work, a makeup mirror, slippers and toothbrushes for children, a slide swing chair, and an air purifier. The breakfast restaurant is antique and the variety is OK. I like the small wontons very much.

This hotel had some wonderful review which actually led me to book it for the first time . This was my third visit to the property. Based on my experience over the three visit which were rather lengthy this hotel’s target market is predominantly local market . If compared to their international franchise 4 star peers the hotel lacks in many areas. 1. They offer a good spread of buffet breakfast but the assortment is mostly focused on locals guests . The selection seldom changes. 2. The bakery products offered were not fresh . Found to be cold and stale 3. Fresh fruits were found to be mixed with stale ones , not sure if they used the ones from the previous days . 4. House keeping was not the best , often found coffee-tea cups not cleaned or replaced . 5. Requested for in room complimentary coffee instead of tea . They sell coffee pouches at lobby, but instead they ask me to go down and ask for coffee at the lobby. 6. The small gym does not have any sanitiser tissue to clean the equipment before use . 7. At the lobby they have a cafe which is also the office for the hotel management staff. In the evening the area is completely mosquito infested , difficult to sit even for 5 minutes . 8. The hotel turned off the Cookson’s system , inside room temperature went up to 29 degree C. After repeated request they did something but that also did not take the temperature below 24 Degrees. 9. The hotel needs serious consideration about training the lobby staffs . A simple way to explain is their face is curved in stone . No emotion! 10. They need to review their safety protocol, they sent my guest directly to the room without even asking . For many my comments may not matter for some it may . I have spent almost 10 days on my last visit so I can’t ignore those . The best part of the stay was Mary ( forgot to ask her position). I think she’s the manager . She is the ideal face of a hotel . She has been the most pleasant and supportive among all the staffs at the hotel.

The environment of the Park Hyatt Hotel is really beautiful. It is alone on the peninsula, and the building is magnificent. Although the room is a bit older, its flaws are not concealed. The service level is also always on line. In particular, Nancy helped me arrange a room with a view of the lake, took the initiative ➕ WeChat to understand the occupancy needs, and helped me book a New Year's Eve dinner at a Chinese restaurant after leaving the store. Thanks also to Joseph, the duty manager. The only regret is that some hotel facilities such as the swimming pool are not open. Hope to stay again next time.

Living experience of Guihua Garden 3203 Advantages: 1. The driver was very enthusiastic and sent us to the room and helped with the luggage 2. The breakfast tasted pretty good, the food was delivered on time, and the waiter had a good attitude. 3. The night view around the hotel is very beautiful, and the location is very good. 4. The bathroom in the room is very beautiful, the design is very beautiful, the photos are very good, and the lighting is also good. 5. After checking out, I found it difficult to call a taxi here. Today's front desk service attitude was good, and I informed the taxi driver's phone number 6. The housekeeper called and added WeChat in advance before checking in. Problems: 1. There were construction problems when entering the store, and the swimming pool was not available at all. The user was not informed in advance, which led to disappointment when we came in. 2. When I went to the lobby to apply for a card and asked about the full-time housekeeper information on the card, the front desk who booked the room didn't know anything and said that they didn't know. It felt that the staff training was not in place 3. After entering the room, I found that the screen window was not embedded well, and the toilet in the bathroom had insufficient suction. The staff said that they had reported it the day before check-in, but it was still not handled when we checked in. And all the cabinets and drawers in the whole room smell of formaldehyde. 4. When taking a shower, I found that the shower head was slightly damaged, and there was a whimpering sound during the shower. 5. The check-out was scheduled at 14:00 on Ctrip, but the front desk called at 12:00 noon to ask about the check-out situation, and said that they didn't know the reservation on Ctrip. It was less than 1 pm, about 12:50, and another staff member knocked on the door directly to ask when to check out, saying that the next guest was coming. 6. When checking in, I looked for slippers for a long time before I found them in the dressing room. 7. The doorman was not always at the door, and I had to carry a bunch of luggage to push the door when entering and leaving the lobby. 8. The welcome fruit was not sweet, very light (an apple, a pear, a mango, and a few small tomatoes) 9.❗️Note: All the lights in the room cannot be controlled at the bedside, and you have to press them one by one, which is really inconvenient when you want to go to bed. The housekeeper came to ask about the hotel experience at 8:30 in the evening, saying that it would be rectified on October 1st, but the problem is that I came in July. No one's money comes from the wind. I booked a luxury suite, but the hardware and service didn't match the price. I was looking forward to this hotel, but I was disappointed. Maybe the higher the expectations, the greater the disappointment. In addition, Dongqian Lake is suitable for self-driving. If you don't have a car, it's a sinkhole. The whole scenic area is huge. It's a fantasy to walk in summer, and it's too hot to ride a bike. You can't get a taxi at all. There is a driver's phone number at the front desk, but it costs an extra 20 yuan to come. So when you come to Ningbo, it is recommended to visit several scenic spots in the city. Dongqian Lake is not a must-see. If you don't drive yourself, it's best not to try it easily.

We enjoyed our stay in Sheraton Ningbo Hotel, the room was clean and fun for families with small children. Reception staff were also nice. We also loved the breakfast food with variety of choices. It was my daughter's birthday and she was given a special gift upon check-out.

mixed review. some really excellent points and then some real improvement needed too. excellent: the food and beverage manager and restaurant staff were always friendly and the food was excellent (though I think the price of a beverages is outrageous). the Thai curry is highly recommended. the pools and spa pools are great the room is nice and the whole building is beautiful. a birthday cake and card to celebrate was very special and thoughtful. to improve: the cocktails we're awful each time we tried a new one...the ingredients were listed but not all present in the drink the check in and checkout - first and last impressions need to be improved. check in we didn't receive a friendly smile to guide us to the counter, check out was a long queue during the busy time, more shuttle cars are required, we had several 20-30minutes wait times and guests act a bit silly and selfish, pushing to get on the shuttle bus even when families with small children where waiting longer. it was 40degrees Celsius so walking was not a safe option. I had to call three times to get housekeeping on the first day and was told usually housekeeping only come every second day, which doesn't make sense. I don't need my bed made or towels changed, but I do need the trash removed daily. a bit of a strange policy for a pretty expensive hotel. the play are for kids is nice and the staff are generally friendly and patient. very mixed review I'm afraid.

It is the best location of you want to be downtown in Ningbo. Very convenient to walk around and get metro.
