Despite its centrality, the hotel leaves a lot to be desired. The room is very old, the bathroom needs renovation. The room was full of mosquitoes and the door lock was not working. Bad experience!!!

Enjoyed our week's stay. Manager very kindly changed our top floor room to a first floor one (thank you so much!) after my wife hurt her foot sightseeing (too many stairs!). Clean, comfortable, nice bed linen. Within easy walking of the station, and right in the heart of the city. Reasonable rates. Can be noisy, especially if there is a pop concert in the arena, but what does one expect in a busy city?! Did not bother us.

How fortunate we are to have found this wonderful, quirky, boutique hotel. Centrally located, and on a quiet street, this hotel offers easy access to cafes, shopping, and historic sites, without the need for a car, metro or bus. It’s also a perfect home base for those who plan to day trip. Our room was spacious, comfortable and meticulously clean, and did have a mini fridge. One should be warned however, that if you have mobility issues, this may not be ideal. As in many old hotels, there isn’t an elevator and there is quite a flight of steps. Also, while the hotel validates your parking ticket, the parking is a good 10 minutes away, and requires hauling luggage uphill ( for the most part). However, even as a couple in our 60’s, this didn’t pose a problem. I hope to visit again!

Great location within easy walking distance of the railway station and just around the corner from the amphitheatre. Friendly staff, clean and tidy, nice big room... but. Management must have thought it was cold as the heating was on in the hotel. We turned the radiator off, but it was still that warm that we had to open the windows at night....and thats when the location wasnt that great. Very noisey street at night due to nearby bars ...till at least 2 in the morning. We didnt have breakfast as there were plenty of coffee shops nearby for a quick croissant.

Lovely boutique hotel, friendly staff and a delicious breakfast. We would definitely stay here again as it is very close to the sights and restaurants. Amazing staircase up to the rooms and beautifully decorated. This stay was part of a railway trip so booked by the company but it was an excellent choice!

Excellent location and very helpful and friendly staff. Common areas were lovely and clean. The room itself was fine, but definitely worn looking - lots of scuffs on walls, paint chipped and the counter in the bathroom looked grubby and old. If the hotel made their rooms as nice as their lobby and lounge, it would go a long way. Again, however, staff were wonderful.

This hotel is in a great location, close by to Arena and a lovely square with restaurants, which is great. Lots of little shops nearby. Fortunately, the host helped with our luggage as we would have really struggled with all the stairs. Room was lovely, had a bath in the bathroom which I love. Tea and coffee making facilities minus milk. Breakfast not included so we paid extra. Gluten free bread roll with breakfast. Hot chocolate cold. Would not choose to have breakfast there again though.

The twin room was clean and fresh with crisp cotton bed sheets and a lovely bathroom with overhead shower. The staff were friendly and welcoming and carried our bags up to our room. We had a great night’s sleep as the beds were comfortable with good pillows and the room was quiet. The hotel is in a great location near the amphitheatre and within close walking distance of the train and bus station. We would definitely stay again.

If you can find it, great location. Very basic lodging with small beds and thin concave mattresses. Noisy room by the ally but the room had high ceilings and was roomy. Dresser was treacherous-splintered and difficult to pull out and push in. It would be nice having milk for an coffee as many of us don’t drink it black. Towels were plentiful once the owner realized the shower was clogged and flooding the room. His staff was nice but inattentive or he would have known there was a shower issue as we told them not him. Location is excellent. Guests should be emailed where to park and how to find the entrance. Having no staff working after 10:00 pm can be problematic. Don’t lose your one key and hope there is no power outage. Remember to ask for water & soda as they kindly supply that to you.
