"This was our second time staying here but not so pleasant this time
Food was average
And some of the staffs didn’t pay attention to the room issues like
flash not working in morning ;
requesting to have breakfast during waiting time ( which looked liked a good gesture coz breakfast time was almost over and why to waste food but later asking to pay ( which should had been informed priorly )
Common washroom area not cleaned"
"Good- The hospitality and standards of taj were very well maintained. The garden area is beautiful. Breakfast was great!!
Not so good - the 2 bedroom suite had just one bathroom and the suits are in the middle of reception. No privacy in that sense.
The individual rooms are much better"

"This property is nearer to all important tourist spots. The behaviour of the staffs are very good. They had given good guidance and arranged the vehicles for site seeing at a very reasonable rate. They had served a very good homely food at very reasonable price 😋 "

"We had an amazing experience at this property. The owner and host were really friendly and helpful. Especially the host was available all the time and he helped us every time. They’ve 7 rooms 4 rooms on the first floor and 3 rooms on the second floor. Beside the rooms they have common living areas where you can enjoy your meal. They provide cutlery, milk, tea on demand"

Outstanding
IINYOUNGWe arrived late at night but were warmly welcomed by the staff. The room was very clean with new facilities, and the hot water worked perfectly. Breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, and every staff member we met was friendly and kind
GGuest UserRecently stayed at Mango Hills in a 2 bedroom apartment. Exterior of the hotel is clean and landscaping is beautiful. Staffs are friendly and polite. However the 2 bedrooms apartment we stayed is worn out and cleanliness is lacking. Linens are old and dirty with stains.
Breakfast is average and restaurant cleanliness is substandard. Hotel has potential but in need of upgrading works.
VVijayakumar G AFirstly, I was given a room in an extension block that seemed to have been built recently. It was modern but lacked the charm and character of a true heritage property. The main building, with its fireplace and historic ambience, was nowhere to be found. This was especially disappointing considering the premium price I paid, comparable to what you'd expect from a 5-star hotel.
The lack of attention to detail continued throughout my stay. When I checked in on a rainy day, I had to walk to the extension block without an umbrella despite the muddy road. The staff seemed unbothered by this inconvenience. Additionally, the room didn't have slippers, and the floor was cold, with no heating available (although they did provide a basic room heater when requested).
To make matters worse, I had to call the front desk to confirm my room for the second day, which should have been done automatically as part of their standard procedure. This lack of efficiency only added to my frustration.
The toiletries were also woefully inadequate, with only basic soap and shampoo provided. Power cuts were frequent, and I had to notify the front desk each time, which seemed like a hassle the hotel should have anticipated.
The breakfast buffet was uninspiring and lacked flavour. To make matters worse, I had dinner at their restaurant, which was rated top in Ooty, but my experience was average at best. To add insult to injury, they got our order wrong, substituting Nasi Goreng (fried rice) with Mee Goreng (fried noodles). When I brought this to their attention, they made no effort to compensate for the mistake.
In conclusion, Hotel King's Cliff fails to live up to its reputation as a heritage property or even a 2-star hotel. The overpricing and lack of attention to detail make it a poor choice for travellers seeking a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Ooty.
VVinoth SelvinI had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, creating a very relaxing atmosphere. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The facilities were excellent, and the food was truly delightful. Overall, it was a perfect blend of comfort and hospitality — I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable stay.
GGuest UserHotel location is good......Common areas are well maintained however the rooms are not as reflected in photograph on the website....Restaurant is not well ***aged although the staff is good but I feel there is a lot of scope for improvement. ...Buffet breakfast is good....Biryani taste was good....Food in general was good...Had to wait for more than 30 minutes for the hotel staff to transfer my luggage from room during checkout.....There was a lot of difference between the price as mentioned on trip.com and directly with hotel.....Trip.com was less for the same Privilege Suite....
MMunesh KhawaniExcellent Resort, away from the city rush. The rooms and Bathrooms are clean, Jaya ji at the reception was always helpful.
Overall we had a 3 night pleasant stay, with a beautiful view.
GGuest UserIt is near from the Ooty bus station and easy accessible area. Staffs are nice and the food also good. They have travel desc as well it will be easy for us to book the cab if we don’t have our own vehicle. They have to improve some more on the cleanliness other than that it was nice experience stay there
GGuest UserI have found this property in make my trip. Absolutely this property maintain g clean and neat. The staffs also polite and humble. Main thing is car parking is too good and spacious. The view from the rooms also good
NNorio KYWCA Wyoming is a hotel situated in Coonoor. The building is very historic and beautiful. The hotel is in the hill, so it's better to take auto-rickshaw. As it is far from the city centre, it's very quiet and I like it. There is no shampoo and soap, so you need bring your own stuff. The price of YWCA Wyoming is one of the lowest, so we should appreciate the effort of the hotel ***agement.
AArivurajBerry Resort Hill Ooty Review: A 3-Day Paradise
I recently spent 3 unforgettable days at Berry Resort Hill Ooty, and it truly lived up to the hype. This is undoubtedly one of the best resorts in the region, offering breathtaking views that surpass any other I've encountered in Ooty. Perched atop a hill, the scenery is simply mesmerizing.
The resort itself is beautifully maintained and exudes a serene ambiance. The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed, providing a perfect retreat after a day of exploring.
A highlight of my stay was the delicious food. Every meal was a culinary delight, showcasing a wonderful blend of local flavors.
The staff, particularly Mr. Predeep at the reception, were incredibly friendly and helpful. Their warm hospitality made me feel truly welcome.
Key Takeaways:
* Book in Advance: This resort is highly sought after, so I strongly recommend booking well in advance, especially if traveling during peak season.
* Embrace the Views: The panoramic vistas from the resort are truly unforgettable.
* Don't Miss the Tea Factory: A visit to a nearby tea factory is a must for any visitor to Ooty.
