This was one of the best hotels we stayed in during our stay in Sri Lanka. The food we had was delightful especially the tuna which was a great price. The beach was stunning and felt private, though we also enjoyed dips in the pool. Rooms were well air conditioned which made it easy to sleep. I would recommend the snorkeling trip to pigeon Island as I had the pleasure of swimming next to a turtle! For any extra beach activities I would recommend popping down to Uppaveli beach, this is also a fab alternative for a cheap dining experience on the beach.

We had 3 nights here and loved it. Food not too spicy for kids. We went down rd to “Vitamin C” bar and the music and food good. I will be back to visit agin soon. I used the aruvedic massage service and that was also lovely. Just around corner, go by tuk tuk.

Stayed at this hotel for two nights and could have stayed for longer. The rooms are basic but comfortable with both AC and ceiling fans. The hotel has a nice pool and a beach bar that also serves light meals. The food - especially the seafood - was fresh and delicious. The hotel helped organise a boat, guide and equipment for a snorkelling trip to Pigeon Island which ended up being a highlight of my Sri Lanka holiday.

The room and bathroom were very clean and pleasant. Very friendly and excellent service A At the reception, Room service, catering, pool staff and bar tenders provided excellent service. A very safe and secure place to visit All food and desserts are authentic and delicious.p It was a pleasure to stay at Nilawali Beach for three days A wonderful sight. Pasidu told us a lot of details. He is a very knowledgeable boy. He is the one who cleans our rooms while the other boy Madusakka. thank you so much. Great location on beautiful quiet beach. Beautiful casuarina trees and mangrove on hotel grounds bordering beach. Good food and friendly service. Nice large pool. In terms of hotel grounds and beach, this hotel is great. On the ‘room for improvement’ side: rooms are functional but aging (looks 1970s), A/C blew directly on bed which can cause colds, shower didn’t work properly (despite providing feedback, it was not fixed), TV didn’t work, staff is friendly but could be much better trained.

Thrilled and super happy to have come back to Nilaveli Beach Hotel after many years, to celebrate my birthday and our anniversary! The hotel is enchanting and surreal with wonderful food and warm hospitality.. The room we stayed in was magical with it's comfortable setting and just a hop form the beach. We enjoyed the sun, sea and hospitality with special mention to Mr. Sudha who does a fabulous job to keep the place special with his kind, warm demeanor and hospitality. We will definitely come back sooner this time specially to enjoy the sensational food there! Thank you for making our stay special ❤️

A lovely beach location. The hotel is very comfortable and clean. As with all the hotels we've stayed in, the staff were all cheerful and friendly. However, if you want a hotel with strong Wi-fi, this hotel is not a great choice . It is only available in the restaurant and pool area, which is very restrictive. Otherwise it's a very pleasant place

The hotel is located just a few steps from the beautiful eastern seashore of Sri Lanka. We enyoyed the excellent „cuisine“ and the kind and individual service of the personnel. It is a good place to get close to nature and to the waves of the Indian Ocean. We can highly recommend it.

The best beach property in the east coast. Thank you for a lovely and very pleasant weekend. We have a great time, food, drinks, property and service was excellent. I have to congratulate Prem The General Manager who was always visible and welcomed us in n arrival and the well trained team was attentive to the detail. This will definitely not going to be our last stay, we will definitely come back.
