What can I say, absolutely fantastic holiday from start to finish! The hotel is amazing, free upgrade on arrival and all the staff go out of their way to make you feel so welcome!! The food and service from all was truly amazing with a fantastic location. The pool was fantastic, cold but refreshing! We can’t wait to return!!

It really is a great hotel - the location is unique, the pools on the 5th and 9th floors are brilliant, as is the restaurant, because you always have a fantastic view. The room itself is also superbly furnished. We only gave it 3 stars because we had already indicated in the reservation that we needed a quiet room. We were given a room directly in front of the elevator, which was incredibly noisy. In addition, on the 1st night the water pipes of the plunge pools started to work in the middle of the night. The technician was called, the problem was fixed, but it was almost impossible to sleep. A move was supposedly only possible on the 3rd day, which was very annoying. Conclusion: the hotel is great, but the lack of attention to the customer according to the motto "bad luck" leaves a bad aftertaste, so that we actually did not spend much time in this hotel. In addition, the cleanliness is top and the concierge service is also top!

Fabulous hotel, perfectly situated on the waterfront and a short stroll into the centre of Agios Nikolaos. We stayed in the Escape Suite which was amazing - whilst we were really lucky with the weather, the pool was too cold to swim in, I'm guessing because it's only April and not had time to warm up, but still lovely to have that privacy. The Clarins products were a bonus too. The breakfasts on the terrace were gorgeous, so no complaints there at all. The gym was small but well equipped for a holiday workout!! We also had a hire car and found it easy to park outside the hotel. Whilst all the staff were lovely, special mention needs to go to Christina and Eleana in the Spa - they gave a superb full body massage and facial respectively and I'd thoroughly recommend any guest visiting takes advantage of the trea**ents they offer - gorgeous products in tranquil surroundings. Thank you ladies!

Upon arrival I got a fresh towel to clean my hands and their signature homemade lemonade. The lemonade is really nice. Check-in was done within 5 minutes and the room was already ready at 10:30 a.m. The concierge guided me to the room and showed me how everything works. You can even connect your own device to the television and watch Netflix. The room had a bathrobe and slippers, complementary tea, coffee, water and Greek nut bars. The water was brought every evening during the turndown service. The bed was a bit small, but really comfortable with foam pillows. The swimming pool has a gorgeous view, but the sun beds are indeed taken by 8 a.m. Most of the guests just put a towel there and come later. I did not swim in the swimming pool, because I came here for the beach. The beach in front of the hotel is on stones, which I personally don’t find comfortable. I went to Amoodi for a sandy beach. The hotel provides you with a beach towel, so you can take that with you. The beach, the port and the city center is within walking distance from the hotel. There are many restaurants in the area. On Saturday it’s better to make a reservation. Breakfast is really good. There are plenty of choices for vegetarians. There are gluten-free and lactose free options as well. There are hot dishes, salads, cold dishes, fruits, cereal, yoghurt, big selection of tasty desserts and even champagne. The view is really stunning at the restaurant on the fifth floor. I had a room with a private pool. It was not that private to be honest. My neighbors could see me swimming and people above at the pool is well. So if you are into skinny dipping, this room is not for you. The only two things that I disliked were the shower in the room and housekeeping services. The shower does not have a door, so when you take a shower, the water goes all over the place. You have to use towels on the floor. Housekeeping only made the bed and emptied the dustbin. It did not fold my clothing or organize anything. Maybe it’s different in Greece and they try not to touch your belongings. They also left a glass with water on the night stand and bottles which were not empty. I guess they assumed I wanted to drink that later. There was no ashtray on my terrace, so I used a little plate and left it outside. The housekeeper has put it inside the room, above the mini bar. The bed sheets have not been changed at all. I stayed for 4 nights and had to sleep on the same sheets, even though the weather is hot and you sweat a lot. I normally expect the bed sheets to be changed every 2 days. When something has been used - in my opinion - it should get replaced. The cotton pads were not replaced, so I really had to hold on to those. I did not want to bother the housekeeping all the time, because I already made several phone calls for new slippers, coz mine got wet and shower caps. Turndown service does not put a chocolates on your pillow. They just close your curtains and put a new bottle of water.

A great hotel in a great location, the rooms are very nice and cleaned to very high standard with clean towels every day, and bedding changed every other day. The hotel is very modern inside and well styled. The pool on the 5th floor is great to relax and sunbath, we managed to get a sunbed each day, so no issues, the food is excellent, very good choices and the option to choose from the evening specials and/or buffet is really good and well varied. The gin and sushi bar on the 9th floor is well worth a visit in the evening as the views are great, it’s also good for sunbathing during the day, although less sun beds there. Location is good for a stroll in to Agios Nikolas and there is a super market just down the street which is good for the room essentials of water etc, also worth bringing your own nespresso capsules as whilst the hotel give you some upon arrival it’s €3 per capsule after that. All in all a great place and we would go again.

This Hotel is spectacular. We didn't have any negative comments at all. All the Staff from the time we entered the Hotel, we were given a refreshing home made lemonade and a cold flannel - to the moment we left where we were offered a free room to freshen up before we came home. Rooms are fantastic, beds are comfy. We always had nice little treats left in our room such as local mini pastries, drinks.... It was my 50th Birthday whilst we were there and we were brought a lovely chocolate cake and were given an upgrade to a pool room! Doesn't get better than this!!! We had bed/Breakfast - Choices of breakfast is a great choice from a full English, to eggs, Greek Salad, sweet pastries, breads - everything!!!! LOVE THIS PLACE. Also - the Hotel Spa (Aegeo Spa) offers a great choice of trea**ents which we done and this is a great little luxury to add the luxury to the Hotel stay.

Hotel is well designed, friendly staff and very clean. If you want to spend few hours at the pool it seems like something impossible. The hotel has not enough sun beds for all the guest, I believe not even for half of the number of guests. Guest start reserving the bed at 07.00 in the morning and don’t show up for couple of hours. Than the have a note, that if they will take the towel from the bed if you are not there in 30 minutes. So when you ask the staff at the pool, she said but there are personal belongings. When I approached the guest relation manger and operation manager the gave us the feeling that they feel more comfortable in the problem that they are having than setting so clear rules for the pool and use of sun beds. So we get a free drink. ( to keep us quite) Today after the guest was keeping sun bed occupied with towel and phone for couple of hours and I complaint the staff removed the towel and gave me the sun bed, when the guest came she started shouting at me and she intimidated me. Unfortunately the staff didn’t take any action and honestly I felt very unsafe in this hotel. I have been whole my life in 5 stars hotel and I believe it’s easy to have rules at the pool, so ever “paying” guest can have a sun bed.

We stayed here as a couple for two weeks in July. The hotel is newly refurbished with a modern interior decor. However the main complaint from many guests staying there, including ourselves, is the selfish and outdated behaviour of the guests who “ reserve” beds by the pool at sunrise, then return several hours later, resulting in endless arguments with other couples and with the staff and management. There is a sign on the poolside bar stating that if beds with towels on them are not occupied within 30 mins then the towels will be removed- however when the poor pool attendant tries to enforce this she gets into trouble with management who always seem to support the complainers who have reserved their beds often hours before but have not been present! Many guests therefore end up sitting at the tables in the breakfasting area looking disappointed and dissatisfied all day - and who can blame them? There simply are not enough sunbeds for all the guests- I would estimate only 1/4 the number of beds are available. Early on in our holiday however, we discovered the 9 th floor rooftop area- a very shallow pool on the roof, too shallow to swim in, but plenty of beds up there if you get up there before 11 am, and much more civilised clientele in general. The main pool area on level 5 seems to be occupied in the main by couples who think that they are contestants on Love Island but in the main probably wouldnt get past the first round of interviews- selfish and ignorant, they are one part of the guests at this hotel. The rooms are spacious and modern, the staff are all polite, courteous and genuinely friendly, room service is quick and efficient. In 2 weeks we still couldnt work out how the lights work! They seem to have a life of their own!- twice all the lights came on in the middle of the night! All the rooms as far as we could tell have a plunge pool on their balcony- never warm even when requested, they seem pointless and we saw few people using them. The breakfast buffet, as others have said, is extensive with lots of choice- however I would say that many mornings the hot food was luke warm or cold, disappointing really.Service can also be a bit hit and miss, many of the young staff appeared to be new and in training. Next door to the hotel on one side seems to be an abandoned unfinished hotel, and on the other side there is a new hotel being built with constant noise most days. The town itself is vibrant and bigger that it first appears if you go exploring. We ate out at some lovely restaurants and tavernas and never had a negative experience- the Greek food is delicious! We hired a car for 3 days to explore the Island- Spinalonga is close by and a must see, we explored caves, monasteries and a honey farm, as well as venturing down to the south coast of Crete- very much less developed but charming. The archeological museum and also the fort at Heraklion are worth visiting for the day- 7 euros each way on an air conditioned and clean bus from the
