2-Star Hotels in Nikko

Great location, just across from the Nikko Tobu Station. However, need to hire more people to maintain the hotel. There is no receptionist for checkins between 3-10. Found cobwebs by the sinks and even on the partitions between the lower and upper bed. There is black mold in the bathroom and water pools at the bottom of the shower unit. With 2 shower rooms built for 24 guests, there is really only one shower room for 24 guests because one of the shower rooms cannot be used as you can not close the door to lock it! Wifi is not reliable.

Nikko Park lodge mountain side is an excellent place to stay. For a very reasonable price we got a private room with a bath and toilet and comfortable single beds. The place is clean, the location is beautiful and delicious dinner and breakfast are served for an excellent price. The owners are very nice and helpful, they drove us to the train station which was very kind of them. A taxi from the train station costs 1000 yen. Highly recommend!

Location is super, very near to Nikko Station, room is adequate if traveling with very light bag pack. Hotel has a small onsen facility (bathhouse), do check with the counter staff on the operating hours. There are nearby super-mart (family mart is just across the road and another one within walking distance) which makes it great to get snacks for the night. Shops/cafe closes relatively early.

Location: 12 minutes walk from Tobu Kinugawa Station, you will see a 711 next to the bridge (it seems to be the only convenience store nearby), the hotel is just across the bridge! Hotel facilities: very old, compared to other hot spring hotels and Japanese-style rooms, both in-room and out-of-room facilities. There are blood spots on the Japanese puffy quilt, which may not be washed off. The washroom is also very old. Hotel hot springs: showers and indoor hot springs are on the second floor, and open-air hot springs on the first floor. As mentioned above, the two hot springs are not connected, that is, if you go to the open air after washing the second floor, you have to put on your clothes and go straight to the first floor, which is not convenient. And it’s really cold in winter. The private bath on the roof is free to soak in a room for 30 minutes. The board is very slippery and easy to wrestle! It's nice to see the stars. Hotel Catering: Breakfast and dinner are all buffets, everything is ordinary, so honest. Fortunately, I am not picky, I have everything I like. Don't even think about a sumptuous meal like a set meal. It feels like a cafeteria. But the meal time is really too early. Dinner is from 17:00 to 18:30, and breakfast is from 7 to 8:30. Too late to eat.

It was nice to be able to relax in the private open-air bath. The food was not fancy, but each dish was very delicious and made me feel warm and relaxed, so I was very satisfied. The room was also spacious and relaxing.

The house is a wooden structure, two floors, we two adults and a seven-year-old child use the existing bed plus 1,000 yen, the landlord is very enthusiastic, a young couple, will lend us an umbrella on rainy days, and drive us there On the mountain, the room is clean and spacious, and the bathroom is shared. There is a river next to the hotel. It is quiet and the environment is very good. Will consider coming again

As a transit point to Nikko and Kinugawa Onsen, it is a particularly quiet small city with many rice fields and frogs croaking at night. The location of the hotel is very good. It is between JR Imaichi and Shimo-Ima Station. Haneda takes the express train from Asakusa to Kinugawa Onsen. It is very comfortable. The hotel is quiet and clean. It seems to be run by a family. The door lock is still old-fashioned and requires a key to open, not electronic. There is a convenience store diagonally opposite the hotel, which is super convenient, and it is not far from a large supermarket. There are a few restaurants nearby, and many have relatively short business hours.

The facilities were clean and the air conditioner was effective and comfortable. There was a feeling of healing in a natural rich location.

We had a great stay with Yoshiko-san. She was warm and friendly and gave us great tips and recommendations. The house is very conveniently located near the major temples, Kanmangafuchi abyss, and the bus route. The house was also very comfortable, a taste of real Japanese living!

The hotel is very close to the attractions, there are private hot springs for hot springs, the staff are also very good, the rooms are very clean and comfortable to live, far from Nikko Station, it takes more than half an hour to walk, you have to take a car, but the environment is good, if I will stay again next time I have a chance,
