The location was quite good, although it is a bit far from the main U-Nikko Station. If you are looking for a peaceful and enjoyable stay, I highly recommend it. However, keep in mind that the distance may increase your travel time, so you should plan for an extra hour in your itinerary.

Decent hotel with a small onsen. There's a free access to the bigger onsen in a neighboring hotel, but that one was super crowded and dirty.
The room was fine, but the beds was not very comfortable and there were hair from the previous guests.
Tea, coffee, water weren't provided.
In general the hotel is good for its price, though.

Traditional style hotel, with the interior looking like ryokan, which we really enjoyed (except the dark hallways). Furniture was a bit old but I'll take it as part of the charm. Check-in was instant, the reception staff was hospitable. The onsen was great too, I recommended it.
Location is a bit more far then other hotels.

I drove my mother there. The hotel is relatively old, but it has the flavor of the Showa era. You have to put away your slippers when you enter. No dirt is allowed in the hotel. The large bath is outside the hotel and is relatively spacious. There is no breakfast and dinner service outside holidays, but it is understandable, after all, there are not many local tourists.
