The food was especially delicious. Personally, I think the bath water could be a little hotter.

Although our stay included dinner, we were able to relax and enjoy a Kaiseki meal in a private room, and the food was very delicious and the portions were sufficient. The hot springs were spacious and I was able to relax and have a fulfilling trip.

This is a fairly well-regarded inn in the area. We stayed here using the Tochigi Prefecture "One Family, One Trip Campaign." The room was a 10-tatami room with a wide veranda in the annex Hanami-tei. It was a very ordinary Japanese-style room, but it was clean and relaxing. From the window of the room, you can see the Tobu train running on the iron bridge over the Kinugawa River. The train lights at night are particularly romantic. It may be attractive to train enthusiasts, but personally I don't like landscapes with man-made objects. The room was a very ordinary Japanese-style room, but it was clean and relaxing. The open-air bath was clean and open, and although it was not rustic, it was quite good. For dinner, we had a Japanese course called "Autumn Colors Gozen" in a private dining room. It started with earthenware pot of matsutake mushrooms, followed by sashimi, salt-grilled rock trout, and chicken sashimi. The taste was average and the sense of style was not great, but each dish was delicious. We had a tasting set of three local sakes.

We visited on November 11th. There were still some autumn leaves left, and the leaves around the inn were very beautiful! The hot spring was very good. You could see the river, train, and mountains from the hot spring, and the restaurant was in a place with a great view. The lobby right after you enter was spacious and had a great view. The public areas felt newer than the rooms. The sink and toilet in the room were clean but felt a little old, but it was nice to be able to see the trains running at night from the room by the river. I heard that the trains running in the dark were reminiscent of the Galaxy Express, so I enjoyed looking outside many times when the trains were running. (Although I couldn't get a good photo...) The food was also colorful and delicious!

The facilities are old, but the bathroom is new and very nice. The location is also great. However, the air conditioner can only be adjusted for air volume. I haven't taken care of my garden and it's all overgrown.
