Camari Garden Hotel Apartments

This is our first time here,it won't be our last .We have booked for next year already. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment this was a simply furnished but really nice. The 2 pools and grounds are kept immaculate All the people here are so friendly and helpful they go out of thier way to make sure everything is OK.The food is lovely we ate here most nights I would really recommend Camari gardens.

This was our second visit to Camari Gardens and we can’t wait to return. The staff are without exception, warm, welcoming and so very friendly. The food was extremely good, a varied menu with traditional Greek dishes and International cuisine. There is also a ‘special’ every night - again a traditional Greek homemade dish. Although we ate at other restaurants in the village, Camari was our favourite. The location was fantastic for exploring the West of the island. The much photographed Palm Beach, Preveli is only 45 minutes drive. Lake Kournas, with terrapins and amazing bird life was only 15 minutes away. We hired a car at the airport and would highly recommend having your own vehicle to make the most of your stay. However, there is a bus stop outside the apartments which takes you the short journey into Rethymno if you’d prefer a bigger choice of restaurants, bars and nightlife. The apartments themselves are fairly basic, but large, scrupulously clean and you have everything you need if you want to make breakfasts or lunches. Kettle, hot plates, sandwich toaster, juicer etc. There is a cleaning service everyday apart from Sundays and sheets and towels are changed every 2/3 days. If you’re considering booking a holiday at Camari Gardens, I really can’t recommend it highly enough. Very many thanks to the Camari Garden family for such a brilliant holiday.

We have just returned from a week at this hotel, and having booked it based on TripAdvisor reviews, we got exactly what we expected. A lovely quiet and relaxing week experiencing a traditional Greek holiday. We didn't feel the need to hire a car and visited Rethymno using the bus service for 2€ each and returned by taxi at a cost of 13€. The walk to the village is steep in places but very doable if you're in reasonable health, we were celebrating my husband's 70th birthday and we did it a few times! Hairdryers are not standard in the rooms but are available to borrow from reception. The rooms are very basic, beds are very hard but fine for our needs. The food was excellent and prices were very reasonable. Everyone was very friendly and all the staff were very welcoming. It's no surprise there are guests who have been returning for years. We would certainly go back.

I love this place staff are all so friendly food and drinks reasonable price, food quality is amazing if your coming here try the squid. Rooms are cleaning daily other guest are also kind, it's only 5 min drive to the closest city by bus or car, private beach and cove not even a 5 min walk from the hotel the village isn't far from the hotel either with a fantastic bakery and love food choices

We had a great 10 days at Camari Garden. The family who runs this hotel is nice and helpful. The restaurant staff is wonderful, friendly, thougtful and funny. And the food was the best. We couldn't wait to come back to the hotel and end our day at the restaurant. The Cretan carbonara is to die for...

What a gem! 10 mins walk from Gerani village where there are superb restaurants, a bakery - cakes to die for!, cafe and supermarket. Locals really friendly. Hotel apartment basic, but clean. Only thing missing was a hair dryer. Didnt cook in the room as cheap as chips to eat out in restaurants or in hotel bar. Supermarket right under hotel which is owned by the hotel family. The family who own the hotel were fantastic, couldn't do enough for you, always checked you were ok. Very very friendly which made the stay even more special. Explained why there were guests that have been going back year after year. Locals often came in to eat and drink. Little cove at the bottom of the hill where there is a restaurant and cafe. Not for someone who wants loads of entertainment put on for them. Local bus to Rethymno a few times a day for 2 euros one way which takes about 20 mins. The town is typically greek with narrow streets you can lose yourself in. Transfer to hotel from Chania long but Would we go back to this hotel? Oh Yes!!!!
