Sakata with my wife＆Tsuruoka 3 nights and 4 days trip I used 1 nights (other 2 nights: Tokyo first ﾎﾃﾙTsuruoka). The accommodation was ｼﾝｸﾞﾙ ﾓﾃﾞﾚｰﾄ (room size: 15m2 ﾍﾞｯﾄﾞ width 140cm) 2 rooms. ｼﾝｸﾞﾙ is 2 ﾀｲﾌﾟ and another ｽﾀﾝﾀﾞｰﾄﾞ (room size: 14m2 ﾍﾞｯﾄﾞ width 120 cm) is also available. We used JR and visited Sakata, so we went between JR Sakata station ～ﾎﾃﾙ ﾀｸｼｰ (about 900 yen), and city sightseeing started at ﾎﾃﾙ and on foot (because the weather on the second day was raining). The room is clean and comfortable, the cheapest room type is the room, only the toilet, the wind and lu share (shared place, but can be locked when used, single or with friends). The room type for the second night is expensive. It is a foreign room. It may be a lot new because of the renovation ratio and the room, and there is a private bathroom with a bathtub. Because I am traveling by bicycle, the station is very convenient to step over 1.4 kilometers, and there is an indoor parking lot. There are Lawson and aeon in5-8 minutes on foot. The hotel 3/F has a microwave oven and vending machine; 2/F has a smoking room and a comfortable underground lobby.

Very good view from the hotel room and very convenient location, 15mins walking distance to those most famous restaurants. Staff are all very kind and approached to help, as we couldn’t apply JP telephone numbers, thymes help to call taxi for 6 times in 3 day, excellent service.

It is very hard to go there at night in winter but the owner is very kind.
