Convenience stores at the station are closed early, there is a restaurant map, but there are many things that are not easy to walk, and there is no car, and the meal is limited. It is a new and clean hotel, but the surrounding situation was not good.

The front desk was fully rated, including check-in, starting from the inquiries before check-in. The room was also grayed up for single twin use, and it was a twin room. I can't deny that it's aging, but it was cleaned properly and I was able to stay comfortably ２ I had a Chinese course for dinner with a meal pack, but aside from the food, No one else came until the end and it was a lonely dinner. The content of the meal is a pack, so it's probably like that. Next, breakfast, ６ Starting at 30:00 was grateful to us who got up early, but regardless of the variations of the food, The seasoning was not good. No matter which one I ate, this is delicious! !! There was nothing, and the breakfast venue was unexpectedly small, and there was little sense of liberation on the top floor. Lastly, I was impressed, but it was a hotel that I would not stay if there was no national discount (sorry).

Thank you for your care on the way to the drive trip. Check-in was 20:00 and a subtle time, so I saw the meal at the restaurant in the building. Fortunately, there were many restaurants and convenience stores around, and there was no particular problem. I used a large bath after meals, but it is not a large bath. However, the quality of the spring was outstanding and the body was able to sleep well. I was glad to have sanuki Udon for some reason in the Viking Breakfast! The point that you can go directly from the three-dimensional parking lot to the front desk is also high.

Very disappointed to be writing this review... Firstly, their website is dreadfully dated and their booking system puzzling, even comically so. It almost feels like using the Wayback Machine... I tried booking five or six months in advance and so I wrote to the hotel to express my excitement for both coming back to Imabari where I once lived and worked teaching English in 1999, and also that I had always wanted to stay at the hotel, as I actually lived directly across the road from the hotel and always thought it so exclusive and luxurious-looking, and it was the talk-of-the-town back in '99 when they were still very new. I was willing to pay a substantial room rate for a Tatami Suite (approx. ¥30,000 per night for three nights) however was advised that they were sold-out for my desired dates-of-stay in March 2023. What irked me is that no alternative accommodation options were offered, despite there still being availability on third-party websites such as *********** and ******* for other room types, and there was no acknowledgment of my excitement and enthusiasm for wanting to be a guest of theirs' after so many years, or for any disappointment caused. This is terrible service, and not exactly what one would call 'growing the business' to reject a potential guest despite having other rooms and suites available to sell. We instead booked ourselves a wa****su (traditional Japanese tatami room) at Hotel Kikusui Imabari down by the port, which was cute, comfortable, clean, and looks to have had recently had a refurbishment of their guestrooms as the bathrooms while small were nice and new. The cost of this room was also about a third of what the Kokusai Imabari Hotel asks for their Tatami Suites as well. I still wanted to go to the Kokusai Imabri Hotel however and at least see their gardens and lobby, pick up some Imbari towels from the official store at the front entrance, and have breakfast in their restaurant. The lobby is very nice and it does have the grandeur of a Japanese hotel trying to be a European hotel without being tacky or dated, and it does appear that they have recently cleaned all the chandeliers (I'd read other reviews and this seems to have been a first impression for a lot of guests, so this was a nice surprise to see them dust-free). We had a look at the gardens outside and they were very nice and maintained as to be expected with Japanese gardens. So why the 1 star review? Well, we wanted to treat ourselves to what we thought would be a five-star breakfast. We were told to go upstairs to the mezzanine level and we met a nice lady staff member who advised that breakfast would be roughly ¥2,400 per person. No problem, that's fair for a good buffet breakfast. We were then however lead into a huge banquet hall with only a couple of dozen guests dining, which made it feel even emptier and more like a school cafeteria rather than a classy restaurant. It was good that there was a convenience store nearby in front of the station. Overall old impression, but there are ice, range, pots, etc. The price was cheap and satisfactory.

It is in a very convenient location with spacious car parking on site. At the lobby, there were small and lovely refreshment corner providing tea and coffee. Upon entering the room, it was well set up with 2 queen beds which was enough for up to 4 people. Bath room and toilet is well separated and help us save time to wake up and be ready in the morning. Breakfast was prepared and you can either dine in the lobby or bring back to the room but do not forget to bring the small bread basket and tea cup back in place. Hope to visit any Hatagoya branch again.

7 ～ 8 years ago when I stayed at other super hotels (two-stage bed room), I thought it was small, but this time I stayed and it was the impression that it was narrow. The size of the bed is no problem, but there were many luggage, so there was little space to put and only to put on the bed. The bathroom was narrow and it felt difficult to move. Because there was one elevator, it may not be easy to ride when it is crowded. However, the location was within walking distance of convenience stores and restaurants, and the hotel itself was new and clean. Also, there was a free service of alcohol until 18:00 ～ 21:00, and there were many types and many were very satisfied here. Breakfast was free and there were not many types, but I would like to thank you for free. The woman also received amenities such as cosmetics, and the staff 々 was also kind and polite. Thank you.

It’s a love hotel, but the service and attention to details are way better than what you get in a normal hotel! Couples travelling should definitely try this, it might spark your relationship. Breakfast is great too!
