From Niigata Port, you can go through Toki Messe and go directly to the hotel! Very convenient to use before and after your trip to Sado! The night view from the free Baka-Uke Observatory is beautiful! The lights are turned off in the evening, so the night view and twilight are very beautiful and have a nice atmosphere. Recommended for couples. There is an elevator that goes directly to your room. The shop closes early! There is a bar-like place next to it, but the last order is at 19:30. It seems like they could make the atmosphere better, but I recommend Baka-Uke. The hotel shop has a limited number of items, so it is difficult to get food other than the restaurant. I wish there was a 24-hour convenience store. The front desk staff are very polite and elegant, since it is JAL. They provide children's amenities (slippers, toothbrush, towel) No pajamas Semi-double room with a bathtub It was a spacious size, which was nice! I was staying for several nights, and on the morning of the second day I rushed out and had to clean up, so I felt a bit sorry, but everything was carefully tidyed up (my necklace, which was a valuable item, was still in place). My family and travelled to Niigata at the end of April 2023 and had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Okura Niigata. Prior to the trip, I had reached out to them via email to inquire about coordinating a van + driver for us (6 of us) so that we could go visit some sake breweries and to make dinner reservations for us at a nearby restaurant. The concierge team was amazing and booked a large van (jumbo taxi) and driver for the day. they also ensured that the van could accommodate a folding wheelchair for one group member that needed it. The van and driver arrived on time and was quite reasonably priced. Great experience that was made possible by the hotel team! Upon return to the hotel, we realized we had left some items on the van - the hotel called the taxi company and coordinated the return of our items. Beyond these experiences, the hotel itself is a bit older but rooms are comfortable and fairly spacious for a hotel room in Japan. Location is great and the breakfast buffet was one of the better ones we had on this trip. If I should ever travel back to Niigata, I will most definitely be staying here. The hotel and team won my business by going above and beyond...even for Japan standards of customer service! Domo arigatogozaima****a!!!

Stayed for １ night watching soccer. It is a little far from Niigata Station, but within walking distance. The surrounding area is comfortable for shopping and playing in the downtown area.
