The public bath was very large and comfortable.
In addition, the fitness room was also available for free, and there was a convenience store, and the facilities were substantial.
I think it was good that there were many elevators and it was not very crowded.
I thought it would be a little troublesome only for the opportunity system at check-in, so I hope it will be improved.
I stayed by car. The location was about 25 minutes walk from Niigata Station, but about 10 minutes walk from the Bandai Bus Center and Nishibori area, so I thought it was a good location considering the ease of parking since I went around Niigata City. The building is a little old, but it was clean, the facilities were sufficient, and the customer service was good, so I was very satisfied.
We stayed here for 1 night but unfortunately the aircon in my room was spoilt, we informed the hotel staff and instead of fixing they told us to live with it and tried to struck off the matter… seriously even though we stayed only 1 night we shouldn’t be treated like that

It's right by the south exit of the station!
It's nice to have a hotel near the station when it's raining ^_^
The main shopping area is on the north side of the station, so it's a quiet area on the opposite side. There is no convenience store at the hotel, but there is one nearby.
It's not in the main shopping area, but there is a quiet shopping area towards the south exit, so it's sufficient.
I think the breakfast is good for a business hotel! I think they prepare lunch, but if you go late for breakfast, you feel rushed. It can't be helped (lol)
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! We were satisfied with the room and amenities provided. What we really appreciated was the very kind and thoughtful staff, always serving us with a smile. I enquired about storing my luggage with them for a night after checking out and the staff took note of our request without further explanation. There’s also a sake lounge at the lobby where you can enjoy a variety of sake by purchasing coins from the reception. Highly recommend this hotel!
Excellent location, near several means of transportation. Free tea and coffee service with a nice reading relaxing area. Nice breakfast included. Very friendly staff.
・Parking is available at the multi-storey car park opposite, where you can issue a commuter pass and pay in advance for your stay, which allows unlimited entry and exit.
・Breakfast is buffet style, which was great for me as I have dietary restrictions as I could choose only the items I could eat and eat small amounts.
・There is a large public bath, which is great, although there is a time limit.
・There are many restaurants nearby where you can eat local seafood, so I felt that Basho was in a great location for people who want to enjoy a meal.
・There are souvenir shops and the local arcade shopping street right in front of the hotel, so you can purchase souvenirs such as agricultural products, seafood, and sasamochi.
・There is a roadside station 5km away within the prefecture, so you can purchase crabs and other items there and have them delivered to your home.
・The Wi-Fi security was also fine, and the security software did not indicate any risk.
During the cherry blossom season in 2025, I chose Dormy Inn in all three cities. What I like most about Dormy Inn Niigata is that the room door faces the open-air atrium, which is spacious and bright, with fresh air, much more comfortable than the closed corridor. It is rare to find a hotel with this structure, and I really like it.

Great
GGuest UserWas given a room with 2 single beds. When I checked with the reception, they said their level 10 was under renovation and that my booking doesn't give me a choice. This is the first time I was told I don't have a choice to the bed configuration.
Rooms are not sound proof. We could hear voices from next room.
Room is spacious by Japanese standard, and location is good, near to Bandai Pier and fashion shopping. We could walk to the train station in 10 minutes.
Enjoyed our stay.
FfhericIt is relatively close to the subway station, with convenient transportation around and it is very convenient to buy anything. The only problem is that the bed is too small and the room is also small. However, all hotels in Japan are like this, clean and tidy.
Aao3I often stay at Livemax when I travel to other regions. It's very close, about a 3-minute walk from Niigata Station after taking the direct limousine bus from the airport. The return bus stop for the airport, number 18, is also nearby, so it's easy to move around even with a suitcase. The front desk staff are very polite in their explanations. Since it was just one night, the room was spacious enough, most amenities were included, and the facilities had been newly replaced, so it was comfortable.
Also, there is a microwave here, so it's great to be able to heat up the local food you take home!
The elevators are crowded at check-out time, as mentioned in the reviews, but I checked out at 9:50 and it didn't affect me.
I think it's fine as long as you check out a little outside of peak hours.
If I have the chance to come to Niigata, I'll use it again.
SSanrifangzhuOverall, the price/performance ratio is acceptable, after all, it is during the GW period. I bought a 2-day ticket to Echigo and went to Yahikoyama and Murakami Komachi. I also bought a one-day ticket for the Niigata loop bus and went to the aquarium, where I stayed for more than 2 hours. Then I went to Furumachi Flower Street to eat a bowl of highly praised ramen (らぁめん坎井), but the bus running time was too short and ended at around 5pm. I didn’t get to visit quite a few attractions, so I felt a little unsatisfied.
MMay HoniThe hotel is near the station and major stores. Very convenient. I have stayed here twice already. Staff though knows a little english but it is ok because they will try hard to communicate.
GGuest UserStayed for two nights and three days, close to the station, the hotel twin room is more spacious, the Japanese breakfast is very exquisite and varied and tastes good. Get off the bus again!
LLaoeiVery good location, very close to Niigata jr station, the airport bus is also convenient
Very quiet around, not in the downtown area, there is a bookstore nearby, shopping plaza, dining, complete
The room is moderately sized Heating is too sufficient to be a bit hot (lowest grade)
The entry time is in the check-out time. It is great.
GGuest UserFor the price, I think it's a solid business. There is a parking lot, and the beds are firm, unlike some hotels. Breakfast is delicious, and although it is not large, there is also a large public bath. Thank you very much for your help this time.
YYouyiThe affiliated parking lot was a 5-minute walk from the hotel, but it was parked cheaply. It was a pity that the free Ochazuke service from 21:00 had already ended when I went to 22:00.
