Fletcher Hotel - Restaurant Nieuwvliet Bad

Overall decent hotel, close to the beach. However, it's quite an old hotel, a refresh wouldn't hurt, it's the carpet in the rooms that causes a lot of dust. There is no mini fridge in the rooms, nor a kettle, which is annoying. The swimming pool is a plus. The staff is very efficient and friendly.

The reviews of this hotel vary greatly, but we were quite pleased with our stay. Here and there something damaged or dated, strange electricity. But clean, good bed, friendly service and excellent breakfast. Strange that the room was so warm in March, with the central heating off; just open the window. Showering in a bath is dangerous and outdated. The changing rooms at the swimming pool (8.5 x 5m) were just in the walk-through, so when undressing and dressing, be careful that no one walks past. I did not find the bowling alleys mentioned. The charging station for e-cars is located at the rear of the hotel, behind the bicycle shed.

A lovely beach hotel 100 meters from the sea. Of course you have to climb a dune entrance. Don't expect a Hilton from the Fletcher Nieuwvliet bath hotel, but the staff really does their best to make you feel at home. Excellent extensive breakfast buffet, delicious 2 or 3 course dinner of your choice, optional with a nice menu. Nice table service. Reception super friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, our room was renovated. No air conditioning and mini fridge available. We had an upgraded room with a spacious balcony. The hotel has an indoor swimming pool and a bar/snack bar. There is a free hotel car park available. In short, we enjoyed this hotel and the very nice staff.

Nice hotel. Nice and close to the sea. Friendly staff. Especially the young man from dinner did a great job. The room was cleaned well every day. Nice beach bars nearby. You can get to Catszandbad and Zwin in no time.

Excellent coffee with tompouce, but customer friendliness is an unknown concept at Fletcher in Nieuwvliet. 836398762 On King's Day I cycled past Fletcher hotel in Nieuwvliet and spontaneously decided to have their King's Day Special: Coffee with Orange tompouce. The terrace was completely empty; we were the only guests. Yet apparently none of the staff was able to come out, so we went inside ourselves. Finally found a lady and asked her if we could get 2 coffees with tompouce. “Of course” was the answer, which was unfortunately completed with a clearly audible sigh… A little later the lady came out with 2 coffees and 2 tompouces. While putting down the snack, she accidentally swiped her finger through the whipped cream of the tompouce. Could happen… “A 4-letter word” (which I am not allowed to repeat here) was the expletive used after which she took the tompouce back inside. A little while later she came back. With the same tompouce! So why she went in with it is a mystery to us. We started with coffee and pastries. However, halfway through, we were in the middle of the tompouce, another lady suddenly stood at our table with the bill. “I'll come with the receipt,” was her opening sentence. Whether we wanted to pay immediately. My (apparently not sufficiently noticeable) hesitation as surprise was not noticed. A visit to the toilet afterwards was also not an unqualified pleasure. Someone was working outside with a high-pressure cleaner, and apparently he had also been instructed not to forget the ventilation openings. This caused dirt to be sprayed into the toilet area through the grilles and floated down the walls and onto the floor. Reported this to an employee at the hotel desk. He would get to work on it right away. However, he dismissed our dissatisfaction with the service on the terrace as “I can't imagine that”. Perhaps a customer friendliness course wouldn't hurt at Fletcher in Nieuwvliet. Why then 2 stars as a rating? The coffee and tompouce tasted great! Or could that perhaps be because we had already completed 70km on the bike…?
