Wonderful experience! This hotel/restaurant has a personal touch, the inferior is lovely and cozy, and the service is very friendly. We were a group of 17 persons and we came there quite spontaneously. Food came quickly and it was so good! Common opinion of our members was: the cook must be a very happy person, as only a happy person can cook a schnitzel like this! We loved this place with a breathtaking view over the river Rhine. Even the restroom was worth taking pictures as a memory. Go and see yourself.... Thank you so much! Marjut & students from Finland

The food was so great, location and the restaurant was so beautiful. Staff was really friendly and service fast. We came bit short notice but they managed it really well. Our crew complimented especially the bathroom and the whole experience.

Nierstein is a lovely village next to the Rhine river. Lovely walk in the evening. The hotel was to expensive what it offered. Check-in was lovely (nice reception staff). Room accessible via stairs. Room big. Chair much too low for the desk. We had to stand for writing some business Emails. Loved the idea in regards to the sewing box which was fixed to the wall. Nice chair, good bed, smell was musty in the room. But otherwise all good. Bathroom was fantastic. Breakfast was added to a high price of 24.00 Euro/person. A 12.00 Euro version was available but this was not offered. Espargus soup at a price of 9.90 Euro was too expensive for a tiny portion. We guess that this was the half portion which was also available (but noticed too late). At a lower price acceptable but for the overall charge too expensive hotel.

Great location by the river, clean and well furnished rooms, personal service and well managed hotel with the very best service. Such friendly and charming staff and the very best breakfast. Didn’t research the options thoroughly, but must say we felt lucky to have stayed in Rhein-hotel for two nights enjoying their nice ambience, high quality food and friendly laughter from the staff. Thank you!

It was a pleasure to stay at this small, but intimate hotel. The staff were attentive and keen to assist. The rooms were wonderful and met my needs for space and comfort. Breakfast was a treat with everything I needed and wanted from cold cuts and cheeses to cereals and cooked items such as the wonderful bratwürst. Although my view of the Rhine was impeded by a large tree, the view could be enjoyed from the alfresco area at the front of the hotel, particularly with a locally produced wine. It was a treat.

Driving from Denmark to South of France a few times a year, this lovely hotel has become our stop over destination every time. There is a very warm and welcoming atmosphere here, thanks to the hosting family and the staff. They make you feel at home and the service is very personal yet professional. The breakfast buffet may seem small but is full of delicious food, fresh fruit and vegetables and it gets even better when eaten on the terrace with a stunning view of the Rhein. Same gorgeous view is available from some of the rooms. The hotel also has a cosy restaurant with good food and a rich selection of local wine - including their own Riesling and Merlot. If you are into wine, the village is full of wine bars offering local produce and there are literally wine fields all around. Perfect for a walk while your car is charging in the hotel garage!

I was having a good experience at the hotel, but things did seem a bit overpriced, for example, over six euros for a bottle of water from the minibar. I often ate at the hotel's restaurant and was often the only customer, as locals find it too expensive. My real issue is that when I checked out, they charged me 9 euros a day simply fro parking my car in the hotel carpark. I had assumed that parking was free, as I did not see any signs saying otherwise. When I protested about paying for parking in a village with empty roads, the manager told me that this was, in fact, a small town. When I said that I didn't know about the parking charge, the manager told me, "I don't know what you don't know." I feel the manager really let his staff down, as they had been working really hard to ensure that I had a nice stay. Positives were: a great wine list, a good quality breakfast, and a great (if noisy) location. But I would not stay there again. PS. At no other hotel in Germany have I been charged for parking, let alone without my knowledge.

The hotel aims to offer a fairly high standard accommodation. Positive things: 1) The service is very keen; 2) The breakfast buffet is very rich. Negative things: 1) The house is just in front of the very busy state route 9. The terrace where breakfast is served is just on the busy and noisy road and it is extremely hot in the morning. 2) The staircase is very narrow. 3) In spite of renovation, there is a high step to access the shower and the bathroom was very small. 4) The rich breakfast buffet is on a small counter, which makes the displayed items very tight and difficult to access. 5) We were asked 9.25€ for a bottle of water on the terrace.

We loved this hotel in Nierstein. They had the best service during our honeymoon in Germany. The staff in the reception and breakfast was great - attentive, gave excellent service and made our stay great. The breakfast was also really nice with a lot of options - they made eggs and omelettes on order🌟 On our second day when we came back to the hotel had they but a surprise in our hotel room - a bottle of sparkling wine with a rose. We were so happy and surprised about this. We recommend this hotel and we will come back here again when we are in Nierstein.
