My family lives in Stock Stadt, so i was delighted to find this re-creation of a Medieval Village hotel only 10 minutes away, sequestered out in the middle of meadows. (no town or shops in easy walking distance) Wonderful fairytale book architecture on the outside, with a luxury wellness resort on the inside. Sadly, no AC. When i brought this up with the less than friendly staff, i received little sympathy. Yes, i don't think we saw a single staff member smile once. The breakfast room was gorgeous. Unfortunately we had to pay 25 Euro each for breakfast, so it wasn't included in our stay. But their private beach at the lake was heavenly, their salt room was rejuvenating, and their other spa amenities satisfying. Just don't expect much hospitality from the staff. Still, we can't wait to return!

1 This is the first No service hotel I have ever had the displeasure of staying. No service is an understatement. The room was very clean. That was it. Reception staff rude. Ammenities zero. Coffee/tea facilities zero. Over rated & under delivering. Stay at the YMCA for a better service. Great location. Internet is worse than dial up.

The venue is top notch. The lake has a beach and the atmosphere is very inviting. Perfect for business conferences and get always. The food was also very well cooked and presented, fine dining atmosphere. The chefs were very professional, restaurants had great ambience
